Apply this powder foundation to prepped skin.
For lighter coverage, use a fluffy brush like the 168S Brush.
To build coverage, apply with the included sponge applicator or a 170S Brush. Store sponge in the compartment underneath the powder instead of on top of the powder.
For additional coverage and wear, buff Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 onto skin using the 159S Brush before applying the powder.|To use as a setting powder, apply with the 240S Brush to your T-zone area and the 187S Brush all over the face.

New Holy Grail
I am combo/dry skin and the og studio fix powder was a bit too drying for me. I have normal skin with oily tzone and random dry patches. This new formula though is chefs kiss! It is soooooo good yall! I prefer a light-medium coverage so i apply with a large powder brush and it blurs where it needs to and is just beautiful on the skin. This is seriously my new favorite foundation! Colors have changed with the new formula though! Beware!

Please stop changing all of your tried and true formulas! First it was the lipsticks, and now this! Agree with other reviewers...this is chalky, doesn't last, color not matching to my old shade.....I've been using this for over 20 years and now I have to find something else! Not to mention, the decrease in product amount and increase in price! So disappointed as I've been such a loyal customer for so long.
AWFUL! Get Merle Norman's Powder foundation instead!

The fear over talc is real, ya'll….and it's a LIE! The talc used years ago in baby powder is NOT the same talc used today, but here we are….Mac, like so many, has RUINED a wonderful product over FEAR. The reformulation of this ICONIC powder is not just disappointing, it's GROSS. The colors are gross, the wear is oily and gross, and the tone deaf attitude of Mac to reformulate a beloved product with a massive fan base, and have ZERO concern for their faithful customers, is GROSS. If you are a powder foundation fan, head to your local Merle Norman and give their powder foundation in a compact a try. It's oil-free and just as good as the Studio Fix we all have loved for years! Don't give another dime to a company that doesn't care how consumers feel! Byeeeee, Mac!

It's been many years since I last used this powder, and my skin has changed a lot as I've aged. The old formula worked great in the past, and so does this new one. I'm 44 with temperamental skin, some products dry out my skin and some make me greasy. I have fine lines around my eyes and mouth, some textured acne scars, and uneven skin tone. I use SkinMedica products and put this powder on top of sunscreen. It applies evenly and easily with a buffing brush. It doesn't cling to any textured spots or settle in lines, a lot of other makeup does. My skin looks flawless!! The included sponge works great to pat on a light touchup, though I rarely need to. I love that this comes with a refill!!!! Helps reduce plastic waste!
Bring back the old formula!!
I have been using this powder for 8 years. The new formula is so disappointing!! The coverage is so bad, and the product doesn't last the way it used to. I will now have to trade this powder in for a new brand.
