For lighter coverage, use the 129 Synthetic Powder/Blush Brush.
To build coverage, apply with the included sponge applicator or a brush. Store sponge in the compartment underneath the powder instead of on top of the powder.
For additional coverage and wear, buff Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation onto skin before applying the powder.

Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

Terrible new formula
Please go back to the old formula and packaging. Why mess up a good thing!! Like many of us ive been using this for years and always had multiples! This new formula chalkly and bad. The new packaging also feels cheap

New formula :(
The new formula doesn't cover as well as the old. I've been using Mac for the past 20 years and I've been trying to make this new formula work and I've been having to tweak it a little with the way I apply it and using different sheer tints underneath just to make the coverage look as good as how it used to. Nothing compares to the old formula. Wish they brought it back and just let us choose which one we want to purchase.
My "go-to"foundation for work
I found this foundation about ten years ago. I had read that powder foundations were best to wear at the gym. Nursing is a fast paced environment where you are on your feet for long periods and sweating (expecially in summer). I was frustrated becauze my skin was oily to begin with, and I couldnt get anything to stay on my skin for my entire shift. I use this powder with a good oil absorbing primer underneath (like Milk) and Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray over the top. It keeps my make up locked in place through all kinds of weather. The powder absorbs the oil on your skin, unlike liquid foundation, which floats on top of it. MAC makes a long wear liquid foundation and I have used it too. But, I like the fact that this comes in a compact which nakes it easy to apply when I'm in my car before work (I'm always running late). I keep it in my purse for touch ups as well. It comes with its own powder puff that goes in its little compartment, so you don't need to carry a brush or a sponge seperatly. Its just handy all the way around.
New formulation totally SUCKS
The new formula is awful. Not only did the entire shade line change but so has the level and depth of coverage. The amount of powder that flakes onto my clothes and bathroom counter when I apply this, is ridiculous!
