For lighter coverage, use a fluffy brush like the 168S Brush.

For additional coverage and wear, buff Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 onto skin using the 159S Brush before applying the powder.|To use as a setting powder, apply with the 240S Brush to your T-zone area and the 187S Brush all over the face.
Finish your application with a light spritz of Fix+ to give skin a fresh appearance.

Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

I have used MAC foundation since before I had children and that was over 22 years ago... I recently tried this and I hate it.. I contemplated taking it back initially, now I wish I had. I tried to give myself some time to adapt but it is very drying on my skin, it gives me a ghost like appearance. The color is not the same, it just does not blend into my skin and does not look natural anymore. On top of all of that, somehow it is now completely in powder form. Perhaps I dropped it or something hit it but it is EXTREMELY. you are sure to make a mess on your clothes if you are trying to do a touch-up. very disappointed
beware of color changes-very different

I didn't read the fine print apparently. The new formula has totally different shades. I ripped into my new Studio Fix (which I have been using for over a decade) to find that its a very different shade. I can't return it now that its open. I just quickly went online and made the purchase without really looking, buying what I always buy. Beware! See pic of old and new-both are NW25

Skin
I'm a NW43 in the old formula and it said I would be a NW44. Looked at those and saw that the old formula for those numbers kept them with the same number for the new formula so I decided to stay with my same number and I'm so glad I did because my NW 43 in the new formula is like SKIN. I love this new formula. I some days just just foundation with absolutely nothing but clear lip oil. Thanks Mac this new foundation is perfect for me and my skin.
It finally happened...

I still can't believe Mac changed the formula of the original Studio Fix powder. This product has served me extremely well for over 35 years (I think 35 years beats the length of time of other longtime users!). I started using it in my early 30s and now at 67 it still works beautifully - the little bit I have left :'( In my 30s my skin was an oil slick and it worked well and at 67 it STILL works the best! The original was the most perfect foundation; you could put on a light layer and have beautiful coverage, or pack it on. No matter - it always looked great and natural. This new version is a joke. Responses to some of the negative reviews suggest adding other products to make the foundation last. NO! There was never a need to do that with the original, even in my oiler days. And where is the coverage in the new version? Is this targeted to the younger set? If so Mac, you're in for a big surprise - younger women need full coverage, too, and that is lacking now. I sometimes would wonder if it would ever be discontinued, but as so many years went by I thought surely it wouldn't. But now...ugh...I have to go through the process of finding something comparable in other brands and I don't think there is anything. Why oh why did you do this Mac? It was a classic, meaning it stood the test of time. Somehow it must be about the almighty dollar. You know it was one of the best selling foundations, so it just doesn't make sense to me. Disappointed is an understatement. Please do not respond to this review. There is nothing you could possibly suggest that would make me use the new version.
Color change
I gavevworn NC 35 for many years and with the changes the color is not the same. It is also not a maximum coverage like it use to be. I will never buy again. Very disappointed
