Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

I really wanted to like this new powder foundation. I have been a loyal MAC customer since the 90s, when I first discovered Studio Fix while living in Toronto, and I have used it ever since. Unfortunately, this new formula has been a big disappointment for me. I have purchased four so far (including my most recent purchase at an airport store), hoping the experience would improve, but the product is extremely light, powdery, and does not stay on my skin. The shade also run noticeably orange on my face, which has never been an issue with Studio Fix. At the store, I was encouraged to try NW11 instead, with the assurance that it would be a better match. Unfortunately, I had the same result, looking yellowish‑orange on my skin. I am also hesitant to order online again, because my last online order arrived completely damaged, flaky, and crumbled. (I did receive a refund.) After decades of relying on MAC powder foundations, I am now looking at other cosmetic brands for an alternative.
New formula, lost customer

I have been using MAC's StudioFix powder foundation for well over a decade, but no more thanks to the new formula. The new powder doesn't cover or stay put like the original and the colors are very difficult to match. After an arduous search, I've found a new product, and I won't be back to MAC, unless the old formula is brought back.

I've been using the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in shade N4, and I'm honestly impressed. It gives my skin a smooth, blurred matte finish while still looking natural and lightweight. I love that it works as both a foundation and a setting powder, which makes my routine much quicker. The coverage is buildable—one light layer evens out my skin tone, and adding a little more easily covers redness and small imperfections without looking cakey. It also controls oil really well throughout the day, which is perfect if you have combination or oily skin like mine.
Terrible coverage
Used the original formula happily for years. The new formula shade match was terrible but I found something comparable in another shade. That being said the new coverage is about 10% of what it used to be. I've had better coverage and last with a cover girl pressed powder. Disappointing, do NOT recommend.
