Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

Mehhhhhhhhhh
Hello! So i have been using Mac products as my STAPLE products religiously for the last 20 years. (Im 38) I have used the foundations, lipsticks, blushes, eyeshadows, liners and face powders my entire life pretty much. They have been my go to. Especislly the studio fix foundation and powder. Me and my twin sister have bought it every single time since then, every new bottle of foundation and powder. But now ive been searching over a year for new liquid foundation since they switched the formula. I had finally ran out of my stocked pile of powders after i had heard a rumor of a new formulation. So i drove over to my ulta and decided, reluctantly, after hearing poor reviews, to purchase this powder. Like other reviews stated, there is much more kick up of powder that flies around in the pan, the coverage is very sheer on its own, and the colors are completely different. Im usually a c4 or c3.5, but the best one i could find match- wise and with the help of the very friendly and nice worker, was nc18. (Ive used that liquid foundation color before, but it was very different from what i remember) So i used the powder on top of my foundation (because ive had to shop around for new foundations since the Fix Fluid changed and i did not like the sample (too much skincare, and i already use my own daily)), and i will say, as a setting powder for just a few hours, it looked decent. Gave a light blurring effect and the color looked good. But, i only got to use it for a week, because the dang thing flew out of the compact and broke EVERYWHERE ON MY FLOOR. Do i want go buy a refill (that i have to venture to an actual store for) that will probably, very easily, fly out of the compact AGAIN? Probably not. Im so sad. Maybe they could fix that design flaw? I dunno. Just sucks. Hope this helps!
If I could I'd buy 100 of them
This product is the simply amazing and perfect for me. I can imagine using anything else. Thank you Ulta for always having my shade in stock.
Liked the old formula better!

Comments about NW20
I have used Studio Fix powder for 10+ years and loved it! I used shade N5, and the new formula shade that was recommended was NW20. I like the old formula so much better.....the coverage on the new one isn't as good, and the color seems too light for my complexion. I wish they would bring the old one back!
shade range is trash now
this USED to be my go-to cause the shade range was VERY inclusive. they had the regular NC shades which were yellow-neutral. C2, C3, C4 etc which were yellow w a litlte pink C3.5, C4.5, C5.5 etc which were peach. c30, c35, c40 etc which were yellow w green aka OLIVE. i am normally C40 which has essentially been discontinued because the new C40 is meant to match C35. mind you, the new C40 has less green and actually pulls peachy. the recommended shade for me in this reformulation is NC38. is this a joke? its straight up ORANGE. ive tried looking around for a new shade and none of them are a match. C45 is too dark. NC37 is too light. theyve matched the powders to the liquid even though the powders had more shades and came before the liquid. the powder shades had a rhyme and reason as to why the shade name correlated with a specific shade. the liquid version they always added in random shades w random names and ruined the shading system so for them to follow the liquid as standard was a horrible move. RIP to my go-to everyday foundation. i no longer have a match

Basic
It's a good powder and it does make your make up blast and it does a flawless finish but it runs orange and I've tried multiple different shades and someone with a neutral undertone I don't really experience that and it claims to be waterproof but it isn't and I've tested it multiple times with different products it's a good powder but it doesn't hold up to all of its claims
