Saturate hair with water, and apply a generous amount of Color + Clenditioner. If applying to entire head of hair, comb from roots to ends to evenly distribute product. If applying to specific areas work through with fingers. Leave on for 3-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For maximum intensity, multiple applications may be needed to achieve desired tone. Color + Clenditioner can be applied to dry hair for a bolder color. The longer Color + Clenditioner sits on the hair the more color it will deposit. The lighter and more 'white blonde' the hair is the more true to tone the results from Color + Clenditioner will be. To maintain Color + Clenditioner results, alternate with Clenditioner. Color will start to lighten with each wash when a traditional shampoo is used.
Pro Tips:
- Make sure enough product is being used. Hair should be saturated and product should be combed roots to ends.
- Yellow/ brassy blonde tones may play in effect with end result depending on Color + chosen.
- Silver, Silver Blue, Light Pink and Platinum are geared towards the light blondes.
- The Silver may turn a greenish hue IF the hair has any yellow tones, Platinum will brighten blonde hair, Silver Blue will counter any brassy/orange tones.
Precaution: This product may cause skin irritation on certain individuals. A preliminary patch and strand test should be performed before use. This product must not be used for dying the eyelashes or eyebrows. Rinse immediately with water if eye contact occurs.Direct Dyes should not be removed with ammonia/peroxide. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I have been using this brand for about a year now, so I am SO EXCITED this is at Ulta (I just bought some and I'm bummed I didn't see this was on Ulta, missed out on those points...next time though!) I use the Light Pink and I love it so much. It's best to apply it through your hair like a normal ...

Silver Blue Is Not Good
I got this in Silver Blue in the hopes of maintaining my artificial grey, since it fades fast no matter what. First, I expected the bottle to be bigger, since it's supposedly 12 oz. I know there's a volume difference between cylinders and cubes because of the angles but it still feels like a ripoff ...

Exactly what I was looking for!
My hair is naturally dark blonde, and I have blonde highlights (luckily no grays, so I can't speak to gray coverage), and my hair is fine. I bought the color Mocha Latte just to add a little depth to my color for fall. The packaging says it's not recommended to use on highlighted hair, but I went for it anyway, and i have zero regrets. I applied it all over to my dry hair, put a disposable shower cap over it, and waited the full 20 minutes before rinsing. The color came out beautiful! My highlights remained a little lighter, so it kept that lovely dimension. We'll see how long it lasts before I feel it needs to be reapplied. For the price, I would say this product is worth it. I will likely get at least 4 applications with the amount of product I used this time. I did wear gloves when applying because of reading the reviews, and I used an older towel just in case. The darker colors might stain surfaces, hands, and towels like others have said, but I didn't have any issues like that with the Mocha Latte. I might do a second application to get a slightly deeper color, but still very happy with results the first time around.
Hair color faded
I dyed my hair a vibrant purple color and then I bought this product. After the first use it dramatically faded my vibrant purple hair dye. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Dyed with Everything - This is The Worst
This damaged my hair worse than any product I've ever used. My hair has literally been every single color except pink. I have used Manic Panic, Overtone, Joico, CelebLuxury, etc. to maintain my color. This caused my ends to break off in tiny pieces for 6+ months after one use. I had tiny hairs all over desk and everywhere. It was also very drying. Maybe I'm just a one off, but I regret ever having used this, and if you want to take the risk, I would highly recommend doing a patch test on a back/hidden piece of hair first!
Love It!
The Champaign color was perfect for my graying blonde hair. It looks natural and covered the gray nicely.
Didn't work.
Unfortunately, it didn't work after waiting 30 minutes and rinsing. I reviewed their tag before and knew what to "expect" based on my hair color which is light for it to work.

How do i get the color stains off of my shower walls?
- Asked by Grace
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThank you for reaching out to us. • Act quickly — fresh stains are much easier to remove. • Spray the stained area with a bathroom cleaner or all-purpose cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes. • Gently scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or Magic Eraser. If using a Magic Eraser, be careful on glossy surfaces, as it can dull the finish. • For stubborn stains, make a paste using baking soda and a small amount of dish soap. Apply it to the stain for a few minutes, then gently scrub and rinse thoroughly. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
do you just rinse it out once it is applied or shampoo it out
- Asked by kelly
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thanks for reaching out to us! Keracolor Clenditioner is a 3-in-1 product, so there’s no need to shampoo or condition after applying it. Simply rinse it out thoroughly with cool water. The only time I would recommend shampooing beforehand is if there is a lot of buildup on the hair that could interfere with the color depositing properly. We also have a How-To section on our website that explains our products and how to use them for the best results. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
I have white roots but have another semi-permanent color on my ends. I'd like to be able to use the Keracolor silver from now onto lighten the ends and gradually make them more silvery - trying to get away from the blond tone.....
- Asked by dog lover
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thanks for reaching out to us! Since you have white roots and a semi-permanent color on your ends, the Silver may not give you the same result throughout your hair. It really depends on what semi-permanent color is currently on your ends and how it has faded. Silver is designed to deposit a cool, silvery tone rather than lighten or remove the existing color. Our products are not recommended for use on gray or white hair because gray and white hair can vary so much in porosity and underlying tones. As a result, the color can react very differently from person to person, making the results unpredictable. Your white roots may take the Silver differently than the ends, and the existing color could also affect how the Silver deposits and fades. If your goal is to gradually move away from the blonde and achieve a more silvery overall look, I’d recommend doing a strand test first to see how the Silver reacts with your current color. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
will this color stain on my highlights because i am looking to see what i would look like if i get my hair back to my natural but will it color stain my blonde?
- Asked by m
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thanks for reaching out to us! If your hair has highlights, especially bleached or very light blonde areas, the Clenditioner can deposit more strongly on those sections because they are more porous. While the color will fade with washing, it may not fade evenly or completely right away, so there is a possibility that some color could remain on your blonde highlights. If your goal is to see what your hair might look like closer to your natural color, I’d recommend doing a strand test first before applying it all over. This will allow you to see how your highlighted areas react and how easily the color fades. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
I have white and gray hair and have been using the mocha latte for awhile . After I use this my hair is green . What can I do to get rid of this ?
- Asked by Donna
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thank you for reaching out to us! Since you have white and gray hair, it can be more porous and may grab onto certain pigments differently, which can sometimes result in an unwanted greenish tone with Mocha Latte. Our Clenditioners aren’t recommended for gray hair because everyone’s gray hair can be so different in terms of porosity and underlying tones, and it can react very differently to the pigments. Unfortunately, there isn’t a predictable result on gray or white hair. I’d recommend using a clarifying shampoo a few times to help remove some of the deposited color. You can also use a direct dye remover to help remove the unwanted color. Thank you.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Should I use shampoo first??
- Asked by susia
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you so much for reaching out—that’s a great question! Keracolor Color + Clenditioners are 3-in-1 products that gently cleanse, deposit color, and condition in one step. Apply evenly to dry/damp hair and let it process while you go about your routine. There’s no need to shampoo beforehand unless you have significant buildup, oil, or residue that could affect color deposit. When finished, simply rinse—no need for additional shampoo or conditioner. Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
How long does the hair color last
- Asked by Dasha
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for reaching out to us! Keracolor Clenditioner is a semi-permanent, color-depositing conditioner, so the longevity of the color depends on several factors, including your hair's condition, porosity, how often you wash your hair, and the shampoo and conditioner you use. On average, the color can last 3–8 washes, although some shades may fade more quickly or last longer depending on your hair. To help maintain your color, we recommend using the Clenditioner regularly to refresh the shade and always performing a strand test before applying it to your entire head, especially if you're using it for the first time or trying a new shade. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you

How does the purple take on silver hair
- Asked by Ronnie
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thanks for reaching out to us. 💜 Purple can work beautifully on silver hair! Since silver hair is such a light base, the purple will show up very vibrantly and can range from a soft lavender to a bolder purple, depending on the shade you choose and how long you leave it on. Keep in mind that everyone's gray or silver hair is different, so results can vary depending on factors like porosity, overall hair health, and your maintenance routine. We always recommend doing a strand test first so you can see exactly how the color will turn out before applying it all over. You can also do more than one application in a day to gradually build up to the desired tone and shade of purple you're looking for. If you have any other questions, please let us know. You can email us at info@keracolorhair.com.Was this answer helpful to you

Result of using mocha latte in silver hair?
- Asked by Kathy
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for your question! Mocha Latte is a warm brown shade that can add depth and tone to silver hair. The final result can vary depending on your hair’s current color, porosity, and condition. On lighter or silver hair, it may appear more noticeable and can create a warmer beige, caramel, or soft brown tone. We recommend doing a strand test first to see how the shade interacts with your specific hair color and to achieve your desired result. For more detailed information, photos, and additional examples, please visit our Keracolor website and check out the Q&A section. - Asked by te he
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out. Certain hair color levels may not work well with Onyx, especially if your hair is on the lighter side. Will this stain my pure white shower that's not ceramic tile, but that plastic - like tile that doesn't have grout?
- Asked by E
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for reaching out to us. That’s a great question. Some colors may stain white sinks and bathtubs. I have dark brown hair, espresso was too light for me. I want to try onyx but im worried it would fade blueish. Any help? If it did fade blue ish, could I just wash alot to get the color out quicker?
- Asked by Cara
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for reaching out to us. That's a great question! If you've used our Espresso shade and didn't experience any issues with the pigment fading, then our Onyx shade should work well for you. Both shades are blue-based and have cooler undertones, so they perform similarly in that regard. You can also mix Espresso and Onyx together to create a custom shade that best matches the depth and tone you're looking for. If you'd like more detailed information or have additional questions, please feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com, and we'll be happy to help. Thank you!Was this answer helpful to you

should it be used on salt and pepper hair
- Asked by Nan
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThank you for reaching out with a great question! Color+ Conditioners aren't specifically formulated for gray coverage and contain semi-permanent pigments. Some people may notice a slight tonal change, while others may not see much of a difference at all. Everyone's hair is unique, and many variables—like hair texture, porosity, and the percentage of gray—can impact the results. Was this answer helpful to you
