Saturate hair with water and apply a generous amount of Color + Clenditioner. If applying to entire head of hair, comb from roots to ends to evenly distribute product. If applying to specific areas work through with fingers. Leave on for 3-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For maximum intensity, multiple applications may be needed to achieve desired tone. Color + Clenditioner can be applied to dry hair for a bolder color. The longer Color + Clenditioner sits on the hair the more color it will deposit. The lighter and more 'white blonde' the hair is the more true to tone the results from Color + Clenditioner will be. To maintain Color + Clenditioner results, alternate with Clenditioner. Color will start to lighten with each wash when a traditional shampoo is used.
Pro Tips:
- Make sure enough product is being used. Hair should be saturated and product should be combed roots to ends.
- Yellow/ brassy blonde tones may play in effect with end result depending on Color + chosen.
- Silver, silver blue, light pink and platinum are geared towards the light blondes.
- The silver may turn a greenish hue IF the hair has any yellow tones, platinum will brighten blonde hair, silver blue will counter any brassy/orange tones.
Precautions: This product may cause skin irritation on certain individuals. A preliminary patch and strand test should be performed before use. This product must not be used for dying the eyelashes or eyebrows. Rinse immediately with water if eye contact occurs. Direct dyes should not be removed with ammonia/peroxide.

- Q
Can this be used on gray hair?
- Asked by DRMINDY
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi there, Thank you for reaching out to us—that’s a great question! Keracolor Clenditioners are semi-permanent color depositing, so they are not formulated to provide gray coverage. Gray hair typically requires permanent pigments for coverage. While Clenditioners can be used on gray hair, we generally don’t recommend it, as results can vary widely. Everyone’s gray hair is different, and the outcome can depend on factors such as hair texture, porosity, and the specific shade used. We hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com. Best regards, The Keracolor TeamWas this answer helpful to you

Hello, I have dark brown hair and recently highlighted it. It seemed to be fading already and much lighter than I wanted. Can I use the mocha kera color and help it tone down?
- Asked by Eva
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out to us — that’s a great question! Our Mocha, Espresso, and Onyx shades are not recommended for hair that has highlights, as they are cooler-toned colors. When applied to highlighted or blonde hair, the blue undertones in these shades can mix with the yellow in the hair, which may result in unwanted green tones. If you have highlighted hair and are looking to go a bit darker, we recommend doing a “fill” first using our Mocha Latte shade. This helps replace the warm undertones that blonde hair is missing, allowing the Mocha shade to appear true to color rather than looking off. This is also why we always recommend seeking professional salon assistance when making drastic color changes or working with highlighted hair, as a stylist can help ensure the best and most accurate results. If you have any additional questions, I'm a licensed cosmetologist, feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com — we’re always happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
How fast does it fade?? Does it fade fully??
- Asked by Esther
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Great question—thank you so much for reaching out to us. It really depends on several factors, including how healthy your hair is, its level of porosity, your hair care routine, and how often you wash it. Some colors fade out completely, while others may leave a slight stain depending on the hair. Because everyone’s hair is different, it’s hard to say with 100% certainty whether it will fade out fully, but these factors all play a role. Please let us know if you have any other questions—we’re happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you

Is the "Cinnamon" a Cool or Warm tone? I need a warm color for my Level 7 highlights that the salon glossed with Copper. I love Copper so much. I love a brown-copper more than an orange or gold copper. Because my skin tone is neutral and beige/peachy I need warm that comes from red, not yellow to make me glow. II am unsure whether to pick the Cinnamon or the Copper. And even perhaps mixing one of those two with Mocha Latte because I like Copper that is Brown Dominant with a kiss of red. Thank you!
- Asked by WeNeedWorldPeaceAgain
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi there, Thank you for reaching out to us! Cinnamon leans more red, while Copper is more orange—both are warm-toned pigments. If you visit our website and click on the SHOP tab, then head to the Naturals collection, you’ll be able to view the Copper and Red swatches there for a closer comparison. We also recommend checking out Auburn, which includes brown tones with a warm base and may be a great option depending on the look you’re going for. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com. We’re happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you

Will the white color work on naturally silver/Gray hair? To make it lighter?
- Asked by Tallulah
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out to us — that’s a great question. Our Clenditioners do not lift or lighten the hair. They only deposit color and help tone out unwanted colors. I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions. Was this answer helpful to you

I have a question can i wash my hair like normal then put this product in my hair to still keep its color?
- Asked by Jazz
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThanks for reaching out to us—great question! Our Clenditioners are a 3-in-1 product that cleanses, deposits color, and conditions the hair. Unless your hair has significant buildup, there’s no need to wash it before using the Clenditioner. We hope this helps! Have a great day.Was this answer helpful to you

Hi! I have naturally "black" hair, and I dyed my hair red about 3 times with box dye, and it has now faded into a very warm medium-dark brown. Is this going to work for my hair if I want it to look the same color as my natural color all over? Does it strip any color or lighten at all? Would espresso or onyx be better for natural black/dark brown hair?
- Asked by Noralie

From Keracolor website "Espresso- a warmer, rich dark brunette color that looks beyond gorgeous! While this is a warmer tone.." I want a dark brunette color but espresso it too warm. Mocha is the perfect cool tone I need, but it's too light. Would mixing onyx with mocha give me the dark cool tone I'm looking for?
- Asked by Bestcl
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out to us—great question! Our Espresso shade is a blue-based, cooler tone, similar to Mocha. If you find it’s not dark enough, you can mix Espresso with Onyx, Mocha, or another shade to create your desired color. We recommend doing a strand test first to determine the correct ratio, processing time, and number of applications needed before applying it all over your head. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. Was this answer helpful to you

I'm trying to match my hair color to my extensions better. The Espresso color is the perfect shade of darkness, but its too warm toned. I used mocha which is the cool tone I need, but it's too light. Should i mix onyx with mocha to make it the darker cool toned color i need? Trying to figure out which colors to mix to get a deep dark cool toned brown.
- Asked by Clbest
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out—great question. Espresso is actually a cool tone shade. Mocha, Espresso, and Onyx are all cool-toned, while Mocha Latte is the only warm tone shade among the browns. That said, our Clenditioners are designed to be mixed and matched, allowing you to create virtually any color and shade. We always recommend doing a test strand first to determine the ideal ratio, processing time, and number of applications needed to achieve your desired color and tone before applying it to your entire head. I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, we’re always here to help. Thank you!Was this answer helpful to you

I had my brown hair bleached platinum blonde. Then I put the purple clenditioner on it. It is fabulous! I repeated the process for about 4 more shampoos getting a richer purple everytime. Now I'm ready for a change. I've washed it twice with regular shampoo and it is starting to fade. Can I put a new color (hot pink) on to of what is left of the purple? What color will I end up with?
- Asked by Ruleonard
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, great question—and thank you for reaching out to us. Color results can vary when layering different shades on top of each other. Hair color outcomes are often unpredictable because everyone’s hair is different in terms of health, porosity, and whether it has been chemically or color treated. For best results, we recommend removing as much of the unwanted pigment as possible first by using a color-removing shampoo like Fade Effect Shampoo. After that, you can apply the hot pink. This will allow the color to take more evenly and appear less altered by any remaining pigment. If you’re not super picky about the final result and there is still a little lavender left in your hair, applying the hot pink may result in a more magenta-toned shade. I can assist you better if I’m able to see photos of your hair. If possible, please email a few photos to info@keracolorhair.com. We hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions—we’re happy to help. Thank you!Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
I have colored brown hair with highlights can I use the mocha without ruining my highlights
- Asked by LOR
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThanks for reaching out—that’s a great question. Mocha is not recommended for use on highlighted or blonde hair, as it may create unwanted tones. When hair is lightened, the natural undertones are removed, so a fill service is typically required before going darker to ensure proper color results. We recommend using our Mocha Latte shade as a fill prior to applying Mocha or any darker colors for best results. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com—we’re happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you

I have mocha latte for my medium blonde/ light brown hair. I want to put in a slight "strawberry" effect with it. So latte with a tiny bit of Rose Gold or ?????
- Asked by Blue
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThanks for reaching out—that’s a great question. Mocha Latte is a warm-toned shade, so you can mix it with Light Pink or Rose Gold, depending on the strawberry tone you’re looking to achieve. We recommend writing down the ratios you use so you can adjust as needed based on your test strand results. Be sure to consider processing time, the number of applications, and ratio adjustments to achieve your desired color and tone. If you need further assistance, please feel free to email us at info@keracolorhair.com—we’re happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you

I have used the honey blonde and would like a lighter color. Is champagne lighter than honey blonde?
- Asked by Roxanne
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThanks for reaching out—that’s a great question. Honey and Champagne are the same shade; we’ve simply updated the name as part of a recent refresh. While we’re revamping the look of our line with some new updates, it’s still the same formula and colors everyone has come to love and trust. I am over 50% - 60% gray and tired of having to keep up with hair color. I have used lighter hair colors (dark blonde) to cover the gray to prepare for going completely gray (the darker lighter blondes help to make the gray blend in more) and wondered if a product like yours would finally push it over the edge enough so as it is growing out it will take less to care for it color wise. Would the silver work for that? I know it won't cover the gray - what I want is to enhance the gray I already have and push the rest to match so as it grows out it will be less of a burden.

I have dark blonde hair with a few greys and was debating the honey toned Keracolor to deposit subtle tones in my blonde for Gray blending (base dark blonde + subtle highlights/tone + greys). I understand that Keracolor will not deposit color on greys. But does it turn grey hair brassy/yellow?
- Asked by S
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi great question, and thank you for reaching out to us. No — Keracolor Honey will not turn grey hair brassy or yellow. Here’s why: Grey hair has little to no natural warmth for the pigment to grab onto. Honey and warm blonde Keracolor shades are deposit-only and very sheer. On grey hair, they may: Leave the grey unchanged, or Give a very soft, translucent warmth (think beige/creamy rather than yellow or brassy) They will not create harsh yellowing or brassiness the way oxidative dyes sometimes can. What you can realistically expect with your hair: With a dark blonde base + subtle highlights + greys: Your blonde areas will pick up a soft honey warmth, adding dimension and richness. Highlights will look more blended and toned. Greys will remain mostly grey but may appear slightly softened or less stark, helping them blend better with the surrounding blonde. I hope this helps. Was this answer helpful to you

Hello, I'm trying to grow my natural color out and my lengths/ends have been color treated. If I use this product will it permanently alter my natural roots coming in? Does the product have developer in it?
- Asked by Rainy
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, thank you for reaching out to us. That’s a great question. Keracolor is a semi-permanent, pigment-depositing color. It does not lift/lighten dark hair and does not require mixing with a developer. It may alter your natural roots depending on your starting level and the shade you choose. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions—we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

Which shade is darker mocha or mocha latte? Thank you!
- Asked by Meg
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi thank you for reaching out to us. That's a great question. Our Mocha Latte is a warmer tone and our Mocha is a cooler tone. So the Mocha will be a little darker/deeper than the Latte. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

My natural hair color is dirty blonde and I have highlights throughout the lengths of my hair. My stylist put a dark ash/mushroom blonde gloss all over to blend my highlights in with my natural color. She recommended a clenditioner for when the toner fades! What color combination should I use to get a dark ash/mushroom blonde tone?
- Asked by Mushroom blondie
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for reaching out to us. Since I can’t see your hair, it’s a little difficult to give a precise recommendation without photos for reference. That said, you can use our Mocha shade—it’s a cooler tone and will help achieve that beige effect typical of mushroom brown tones. If you’d like, feel free to send pictures for a more tailored suggestion to Voeurn@unitedhaircare.com Have a great day. Thank you.Was this answer helpful to you

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I have been using this brand for about a year now, so I am SO EXCITED this is at Ulta (I just bought some and I'm bummed I didn't see this was on Ulta, missed out on those points...next time though!) I use the Light Pink and I love it so much. It's best to apply it through your hair like a normal ...

Silver Blue Is Not Good
I got this in Silver Blue in the hopes of maintaining my artificial grey, since it fades fast no matter what. First, I expected the bottle to be bigger, since it's supposedly 12 oz. I know there's a volume difference between cylinders and cubes because of the angles but it still feels like a ripoff ...

nice color.
I like the color. No issues. This product stinks to high heavens though. Smells like bug spray. The best way I can describe it is flowers and pepper. Not awesome.

I have gray hair and I thought this would work, however when I read the label at home (I don't peel labels in store out of consideration), it said not to use on gray hair. Bummer. For the price I paid I could have brought some Lunar Tides.
