Saturate hair with water, and apply a generous amount of Color + Clenditioner. If applying to entire head of hair, comb from roots to ends to evenly distribute product. If applying to specific areas work through with fingers. Leave on for 3-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For maximum intensity, multiple applications may be needed to achieve desired tone. Color + Clenditioner can be applied to dry hair for a bolder color. The longer Color + Clenditioner sits on the hair the more color it will deposit. The lighter and more 'white blonde' the hair is the more true to tone the results from Color + Clenditioner will be. To maintain Color + Clenditioner results, alternate with Clenditioner. Color will start to lighten with each wash when a traditional shampoo is used.
Pro Tips:
- Make sure enough product is being used. Hair should be saturated and product should be combed roots to ends.
- Yellow/ brassy blonde tones may play in effect with end result depending on Color + chosen.
- Silver, Silver Blue, Light Pink and Platinum are geared towards the light blondes.
- The Silver may turn a greenish hue IF the hair has any yellow tones, Platinum will brighten blonde hair, Silver Blue will counter any brassy/orange tones.

- Asked by sarah
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi! Thank you for reaching out to us — that’s a great question. Our Clenditioners are semi-permanent hair pigments that deposit color only; they are not formulated to lift or lighten the hair. I hope this helps. Thank you!Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
Is it normal for it to cause my scalp to burn immediately while applying then later it feels like my whole head where my hair is is in flames AND for my hair to fall out??
- Asked by Mira
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thank you for reaching out to us. I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. It’s not normal for the product to feel hot or cause hair shedding. If you experience a reaction like that, we always recommend washing it off immediately, as something on your hair or scalp may be reacting to the product. Reactions can happen because everyone has different sensitivities too, which is why the instructions on the bottle always suggests doing a strand test before applying the product all over your head — this helps ensure you don’t experience any issues. Could you please send us your proof of purchase, the location where it was purchased, and the lot number from the bottom of the bottle? I’ll pass this information along to our lab for further investigation. Please email your response to Voeurn@unitedhaircare.com Thank you.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
my natural hair is a dirty blonde, then i was bleach blonde, now i have dyed brown hair. it has faded an orange/ red tint. would the mocha color work to get rid of the tint and back to brunette ? and will this product also fade into an orange/ red tint?
- Asked by cate
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThank you so much for reaching out — that’s a great question! Our Mocha shade is a cooler-toned mocha, which means it will help cancel out some of the red and orange tones in your hair. We always recommend doing a strand test first to determine the ideal number of applications and timing needed to achieve your desired tone before applying it all over. Our Keracolor products are semi-permanent, so they’re designed to deposit color only, not lift existing color. And since our colors are buildable, you can do as many applications as needed in one day to achieve your perfect look. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this good for maintaining gray coverage?
- Asked by B
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThank you for reaching out — that’s a great question! Keracolor is a semi-permanent pigment line, which means it does not fully cover gray hair, as gray hair usually requires permanent pigments for full coverage. Our Keracolor line is designed for switching up your look quickly and easily, since it’s not permanent. I hope this helps clarify things! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
How often should i use this product ?
- Asked by Gigi
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thanks for reaching out- that's a great question! For most hair types, using Clenditioner 1–2 times per week is ideal. This frequency allows you to maintain color vibrancy without over-saturating your hair. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I use lavender on salt and pepper grey?
- Asked by dizzle
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEHi, Thanks so much for reaching out—that’s a great question! Keracolor isn’t formulated to cover gray hair, as the line contains semi-permanent pigments, so that’s why we don’t recommend using it on gray hair. On salt-and-pepper hair, the color will mostly show up on the white or gray strands, creating a soft pastel or lavender tint. Darker natural strands may show little to no color unless they’re pre-lightened first. For best results, we always recommend doing a strand test first to determine the number of applications and timing needed to achieve your desired color and tones. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
does this product stain your sink or shower tiles
- Asked by D
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEGreat question! Some colors may stain white sinks and bathtubs. Depending on your color choice, some dyes have a higher concentration than others. We recommend using gloves, dark or old towels, as well as washing the product off surfaces right away for protection from any stains. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
I have naturally black hair/roots but it is bleached a warm honey blonde, will all the color eventually fade out back to the bleached blonde? And will it leave any green or blue weird hues in my hair?
- Asked by Cece
- Official Answer By Keracolor - BEThank you for reaching out — that’s a great question! Yes, certain colors aren’t recommended for specific starting levels or pre-lightened hair. We always suggest reviewing the recommendations on the back of the bottle for the best results. You can also visit our Keracolor website for guidance on identifying your starting level and selecting the right shade. Because I don’t know what your hair currently looks like or which color you’re asking about, it’s a bit difficult to say exactly what the outcome will be. That’s why we always recommend checking the product guidelines. Let us know if you have more details or further questions — we're happy to help! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I have been using this brand for about a year now, so I am SO EXCITED this is at Ulta (I just bought some and I'm bummed I didn't see this was on Ulta, missed out on those points...next time though!) I use the Light Pink and I love it so much. It's best to apply it through your hair like a normal ...

Silver Blue Is Not Good
I got this in Silver Blue in the hopes of maintaining my artificial grey, since it fades fast no matter what. First, I expected the bottle to be bigger, since it's supposedly 12 oz. I know there's a volume difference between cylinders and cubes because of the angles but it still feels like a ripoff ...

Love it!
I was looking for something to color the stripey "2000's" style highlights I have in my hair. I really like the highlights, but getting it colored at the salon is so expensive, and washes out SO FAST. The bleached bits would look bright yellow and orange after 2 weeks. This is a GREAT solution!! It adds just the perfect amount of color without darkening your hair too much. If you're looking for something to give a rich, vibrant color I wouldn't reach for this but if you just want something to slightly alter your hair color this is perfect. Plus it smells amazinggggg. It's a bit pricy for conditioner but it beats a $70 salon gloss.
Shiny hair
Hair Type Straight Hair
This made my hair so shiny and soft. Definitely would recommend.
So worth it!
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I was very surprised as to how well this worked. I have fine, colored hair that is half straight half frizz 😀... this product is so easy to use..no harsh smell either...I have already recommended it to several people.
I love this product! My hair feels nourished & protected!
Hair Type Straight Hair
This product is just what I was looking for! Cleansing w/o stripping my hair ; colors deposits to make my blonde highlights shine even brighter!
Decent for upkeep- iffy for toning
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have used this probably in the past when I had rainbow colored hair, and it works beautifully for keeping the colors, vibrant and fresh. Anything off their colored line I would give a five out of five. Having said that, I recently decided to go platinum and having good experience before with this product I wanted to give that a shot. The platinum clenditioner is really good at keeping my color very icy, but it does not do what it advertises on the back of the bottle. My roots are still a very faint yellow after being bleached three times, while the rest of my hair is white. I've tried to let the clenditioner sit on my roots longer, to no avail. While I feel it does a good job at brightening, I wouldn't say it lifts or helps tone out unwanted brass.
