Saturate hair with water and apply a generous amount of Color + Clenditioner. If applying to entire head of hair, comb from roots to ends to evenly distribute product. If applying to specific areas work through with fingers. Leave on for 3-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For maximum intensity, multiple applications may be needed to achieve desired tone. Color + Clenditioner can be applied to dry hair for a bolder color. The longer Color + Clenditioner sits on the hair the more color it will deposit. The lighter and more 'white blonde' the hair is the more true to tone the results from Color + Clenditioner will be. To maintain Color + Clenditioner results, alternate with Clenditioner. Color will start to lighten with each wash when a traditional shampoo is used. Pro Tips: Make sure enough product is being used. Hair should be saturated and product should be combed roots to ends. Yellow/ brassy blonde tones may play in effect with end result depending on Color + chosen. Silver, silver blue, light pink and platinum are geared towards the light blondes. The silver may turn a greenish hue IF the hair has any yellow tones, platinum will brighten blonde hair, silver blue will counter any brassy/orange tones.

Hi! I have naturally "black" hair, and I dyed my hair red about 3 times with box dye, and it has now faded into a very warm medium-dark brown. Is this going to work for my hair if I want it to look the same color as my natural color all over? Does it strip any color or lighten at all? Would espresso or onyx be better for natural black/dark brown hair?

From Keracolor website "Espresso- a warmer, rich dark brunette color that looks beyond gorgeous! While this is a warmer tone.." I want a dark brunette color but espresso it too warm. Mocha is the perfect cool tone I need, but it's too light. Would mixing onyx with mocha give me the dark cool tone I'm looking for?

If you find it’s not dark enough, you can mix Espresso with Onyx, Mocha, or another shade to create your desired color. I'm trying to match my hair color to my extensions better. The Espresso color is the perfect shade of darkness, but its too warm toned. I used mocha which is the cool tone I need, but it's too light. Should i mix onyx with mocha to make it the darker cool toned color i need? Trying to figure out which colors to mix to get a deep dark cool toned brown.

Mocha, Espresso, and Onyx are all cool-toned, while Mocha Latte is the only warm tone shade among the browns. I had my brown hair bleached platinum blonde. Then I put the purple clenditioner on it. It is fabulous! I repeated the process for about 4 more shampoos getting a richer purple everytime. Now I'm ready for a change. I've washed it twice with regular shampoo and it is starting to fade. Can I put a new color (hot pink) on to of what is left of the purple? What color will I end up with?

Hair color outcomes are often unpredictable because everyone’s hair is different in terms of health, porosity, and whether it has been chemically or color treated. For best results, we recommend removing as much of the unwanted pigment as possible first by using a color-removing shampoo like Fade Effect Shampoo. After that, you can apply the hot pink. This will allow the color to take more evenly and appear less altered by any remaining pigment. If you’re not super picky about the final result and there is still a little lavender left in your hair, applying the hot pink may result in a more magenta-toned shade. I am a brunette, and growing out my gray hair. I had been using dark brown henna for the past 5+ yrs. Most of my grays are centered in my bangs and at the temples. I am approx 75% gray in these areas and was not enjoying the drastic change. I am a fit 52 yr old and suddenly felt like I looked much older. I bought this product (color espresso), then after peeling off the back label and reading that it was not recommended for gray hair, I returned the product. Then I read some reviews online that people with gray hair do like it. So I repurchased the product and gave it a try. Bottom line: It's great! It has covered approx 50% of my gray with a medium brown which matches my natural browns. And I like that it did not give a "blanket color". It is a much more natural look than the henna. Warning: Use gloves when applying and rinsing hair, as the product will stain your fingernails. And towel dry with an old or colored towel. I did not have any trouble with staining of my white tub.
