There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. I received this Bio Ionic long barrel curling iron compliments of Influenstar and Bio Ionic. It's perfect for creating long spirals and curling short hair. I love that I can lock my desired temperature up to 430 Fahrenheit and the auto shut-off feature is a plus.
Love the curl effect
