There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. It heats up super fast within seconds, along with controls to set the perfect temp for your hair needs and can lock the temp into place so no accidently pushing the button while curling! Perfect for long hair
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Get it for yourself or a gift this Holiday season. The curling iron has a long barrel that is perfect for long hair. You will not need to run the barrel twice because your hair will fit in. Overall, this is a great product.
Best tool ever!
This curling iron surprised me in the best way. I posted two pictures with this review. The first shows my natural hair: very fluffy, frizzy, and not the easiest texture to work with. Most days it has a mind of its own, and heat tools usually just make me give up. The second photo is after about 15 minutes of using the Bio Ionic 1.5" long barrel. Keep in mind, this was my first time trying it. The longer barrel made curling the back super manageable, and I appreciated having adjustable heat settings so I didn't have to use more heat than my hair needed. The end result shocked me, loose, bouncy curls that actually looked intentional. And I didn't burn myself thanks to the cool-touch grip 🙌🏻 Easily a 5-star tool for someone who usually struggles with styling. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review]

I was SO excited to try out the Bio Ionic 1.5" Long Barrel Curling Iron! It gives soft wavy curls and was very easy to use! It was lightweight and my hair flowed easily through the clamp and turned smoothly, making the curling process quick and effortless! It also has several different heating settings that lock in so if you accidentally hit a button it doesn't change!
Easy to use
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] There are a few features I really like about the Bio Ionic 1.5" Long Barrel Styler. First, the clamp is very comfortable in the hand and not too tight or too loose. This allows for grasping of the hair without tugging or breaking. It also allows it to be maneuvered in a way similar to a marcel iron, which is great to create different curl types. The ease of the clamp, along with the length of the barrel and the swivel cord, makes it very easy to switch direction of the curl and is not awkward in the hand to do so. The second feature I like is the ability to lock the setting. Where the buttons are placed on the handle is a bit inconvenient as you are always accidentally pushing in a button and the lock feature keeps this from being an issue. Unfortunately, I do not feel like my curls lasted as long as they do with other tools, which is sad because the long barrel is so versatile in creating different curls. I have thick 2B hair, that holds a curl well, and I did need to use this on at least 390* to get the curls to last in my hair, which is a hotter setting than I use on other tools (360* created frizz throughout the day). I think this may work a bit better on hair that is not as coarse or for those who do not mind using higher temps on the hair.
