There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. Bio Ionic 1" curling iron
Recently just bought this curling iron after reading reviews and everyone raving about it. Super happy with my purchase and my curls still look good after two days!! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy this.
Curls do not last!
I can't believe the love that this curling iron gets. I splurged, thinking it was the best but unfortunately I don't like it at all. The curls fall out before I'm even done with my whole head of hair. It takes me way longer than most curling irons despite the longer barrel due to the fact that it's so much harder to get a successful curl. My hair was also smoking (not normal, same temperature and heat protectant I always use). I'm really disappointed after dedicating an hour and a half to doing my hair two days in a row attempting to make this work for me. Definitely returning.
Company won't honor warrranty
I splurged and bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It stopped working earlier this summer, about 7 months after purchase. Numerous communications with the company, as well as with Ulta, have gone unanswered. So much for a 1-year warranty. Truly disappointed with the lack of customer care from BioIonic as well as Ulta.
Barrel just fell off!
Was curling my daughters hair and the barrel just fell over and some black pieces fell like the connection disintegrated. I still have a Paul Mitchell flat iron from high school that works. This lasted a little over a year. Insane for the price! Then I saw numerous reviews on various platforms where the exact same thing happened. Clearly there's a manufacturer issue they are ignoring so people buy more. I will never give a company like this more money. Good day to bio ionic!
