Apply this powder foundation to prepped skin.
For lighter coverage, use a fluffy brush like the 168S Brush.
To build coverage, apply with the included sponge applicator or a 170S Brush. Store sponge in the compartment underneath the powder instead of on top of the powder.
For additional coverage and wear, buff Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 onto skin using the 159S Brush before applying the powder.|To use as a setting powder, apply with the 240S Brush to your T-zone area and the 187S Brush all over the face.

It's been many years since I last used this powder, and my skin has changed a lot as I've aged. The old formula worked great in the past, and so does this new one. I'm 44 with temperamental skin, some products dry out my skin and some make me greasy. I have fine lines around my eyes and mouth, some textured acne scars, and uneven skin tone. I use SkinMedica products and put this powder on top of sunscreen. It applies evenly and easily with a buffing brush. It doesn't cling to any textured spots or settle in lines, a lot of other makeup does. My skin looks flawless!! The included sponge works great to pat on a light touchup, though I rarely need to. I love that this comes with a refill!!!! Helps reduce plastic waste!

I have been trying 4 different shades now and still can't find one that comes close to my original NC40. Also the new case is ending in half the time than the previous formula im having to buy a new one every month and I do a very light make up every other day.

I've been using NW22 for a lot of years now and always order two at a time so I can have one for my vanity and one for my purse. I recently went to reorder and got the message that with the new formula, my new shade would be NW20, so I ordered two of them. It turns out NW20 is actually several shades darker than NW22 used to be. I went into a physical store, and the MAC rep agreed that NW20 was much darker. The closest shade to NW22 is actually N4. In addition, the new formula is so much more delicate and crumbly than it has ever been. It's almost more of a loose powder that's been put into a compact. Even using light taps of my brush, it gets all over my vanity, and I have to keep it in a ziploc inside my purse so that it doesn't get everywhere. Unfortunately, I was past the 30 day return date because I was finishing up my older product before opening the new one, so now I have two darker shade compacts that I will have to wait and try to use again next summer when my skin tans a little more. Really disappointed as I love MAC cosmetics, but I do not love this crumbly new formula.
Not good
I've used MAC powder plus foundation for so many years! This new formula change is not it. It changed my shade color and it feels super cheap. After so many year I'm changing to another brand.

As a makeup artist who lived the holy grill original studio fix powder formula this is quite disappointing. The colors are off completely so you have to get used to the new shades. The powder is very dusty and it does not give the coverage or the oil control. The previous one had so now I'm currently on the hunt with a different brand of powder that you can give me with the OG studio fix powder gave. I was really hoping this was going to be a great product.
