Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

New formula is garbage

The new formula is rubbish. It doesn't cover anything, and after applying it, my face looks like it's been powdered with wheat flour. I won't buy it again. Now I'll have to find another powder foundation that works for me.
Please go back to old formula

I've been using studio fix powder for decades and was excited to try the new and improved formula. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. First off, the product makes a huge mess with powder going all over my counter when I try to put it on. It also doesn't seem to keep me matte for very long and the colors are way darker than the OG version. Pleaseeeee bring back the original!!!!!

MAC you have truly ruined something great. I understand that reformulation was something that might have been required, but this new formula is beyond terrible. I wish I didn't throw out my 5 year old studio fix powder when I got this new one. It says something when I say I would rather wear expired makeup than use this new formula. My skin is oily and this clings to every crack and crevasse that I didn't know existed on my skin, the staying power was barely 3 hours, and this powder is so dusty. I feel like I am just going to hit pan in only a few months versus my old powder that held on strong for over a year. Something needs to change if you want any chance of redemption and having a HolyGrail product again.
Mehhhhhhhhhh
Hello! So i have been using Mac products as my STAPLE products religiously for the last 20 years. (Im 38) I have used the foundations, lipsticks, blushes, eyeshadows, liners and face powders my entire life pretty much. They have been my go to. Especislly the studio fix foundation and powder. Me and my twin sister have bought it every single time since then, every new bottle of foundation and powder. But now ive been searching over a year for new liquid foundation since they switched the formula. I had finally ran out of my stocked pile of powders after i had heard a rumor of a new formulation. So i drove over to my ulta and decided, reluctantly, after hearing poor reviews, to purchase this powder. Like other reviews stated, there is much more kick up of powder that flies around in the pan, the coverage is very sheer on its own, and the colors are completely different. Im usually a c4 or c3.5, but the best one i could find match- wise and with the help of the very friendly and nice worker, was nc18. (Ive used that liquid foundation color before, but it was very different from what i remember) So i used the powder on top of my foundation (because ive had to shop around for new foundations since the Fix Fluid changed and i did not like the sample (too much skincare, and i already use my own daily)), and i will say, as a setting powder for just a few hours, it looked decent. Gave a light blurring effect and the color looked good. But, i only got to use it for a week, because the dang thing flew out of the compact and broke EVERYWHERE ON MY FLOOR. Do i want go buy a refill (that i have to venture to an actual store for) that will probably, very easily, fly out of the compact AGAIN? Probably not. Im so sad. Maybe they could fix that design flaw? I dunno. Just sucks. Hope this helps!
If I could I'd buy 100 of them
This product is the simply amazing and perfect for me. I can imagine using anything else. Thank you Ulta for always having my shade in stock.
