Apply this powder foundation to prepped skin.
For lighter coverage, use a fluffy brush like the 168S Brush.
To build coverage, apply with the included sponge applicator or a 170S Brush. Store sponge in the compartment underneath the powder instead of on top of the powder.
For additional coverage and wear, buff Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 onto skin using the 159S Brush before applying the powder.|To use as a setting powder, apply with the 240S Brush to your T-zone area and the 187S Brush all over the face.

New product does not build well. It's extremely loose and messy. The new formula lasted exactly 17 applications. It's so powdery that you can "taste" the product. The previous formula was perfect.

* I received this product complimentary for review purposes. (I want to preface this by saying I received/ordered the incorrect shade). The powder feels lightweight on the skin, finely milled and I love the packaging! As I mentioned, I have the incorrect woo I can't speak to longevity. I would definitely pick up my proper shade, though. Does not feel cakey on the skin! I would recommend prepping really well as I did notice some powder clinging to dry spots

I was interested to test this reformulation because I had seen mixed reviews online and the original was a staple product for me. The removal of talc has changed the texture and made it less blurring. However, I was surprised by how well this still performed. It doesn't cake up on my skin and still provides good buildable coverage. I particularly like using this under my eyes and to add extra coverage to places I've spot concealed. I also got back some of the blurring effect by layering on a translucent powder that does have talc. Overall, I'd say this is still worth a try! I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes.

Actually liked the coverage of this powder foundation. It provided a smooth, crease free matte finish. Only complaint is that the foundation wears off by mid day.

i received this in exchange for a review MAC's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is basically that reliable compact you throw in your bag and actually use. It gives solid coverage without looking cakey if you don't pile it on, and it evens things out fast. The finish leans matte, so it's better for normal to oily skin than dry skin. It can double as a foundation or a quick touch-up powder, which makes it practical. The downside: if your skin gets patchy or dry, it might cling in those spots. Overall, it's a straightforward, no-frills product that does what it promises without much fuss.
