- Rub between palms, scrunch into soaking wet curls.
- Do not rinse.
- Style as usual.
- Once fully dry, shake at the root and scrunch to soften the cast.
If you want another strong curl-locking blend option, Defining Spray Gel is recommended. If you want the lightest curl-locking blend, DevaCurl recommends Light Defining Gel. If you want the strongest curl-locking blend, Supreme Defining Gel is recommended.

I am absolutely loving the DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel! As someone who only styles my hair once a week, I need products that actually last, and this gel definitely delivers.The first thing I noticed was the amazing scent—it smells so fresh and clean. I used it for a twist-out, and the results were beautiful. Even though this gel provides a strong hold, it never made my hair feel hard or crunchy. I have 3A curls + waves so finding a gel that defines without weighing my hair down or leaving it crunchy has always been a challenge, but this one really impressed me! The consistency is lightweight and easy to distribute, and I've noticed it enhances my natural curl pattern without making my hair feel stiff. Once fully dry, I'm left with soft, defined curls that still have movement—a huge plus for me is that it smells amazing too. It also does a great job at minimizing frizz, even in more humid conditions which is something I was searching for with summer ahead! A small amount goes a long way, and it layers well with my other styling products without causing buildup or flaking. Overall, I'd recommend this gel to anyone with a similar curl pattern who is looking for definition, hold, and softness all in one. Even after just a few uses, this has become a staple in my routine.
