Love it
This product has been so great for my 2C to 3A curl type. It doesn't have a strong hold, but that is something that I prefer to reduce flakiness and a crunchy feeling. I don't use this product as a standalone, but it does help with curl definition, which I absolutely love.
White Flakes
Made my curls crunchy and when I brushed my hair there was white residue all over me.
Good as a base
This is a very nice gel that gets my waves forming really well without being sticky. Hair is also super soft. It's not enough hold on its own for me. I had to add another product once I saw how diffusing was going (hair started escaping and frizzing around the halo) Even though the hold was lacking, I will be repurchasing. It made my hair softer and better defined than any curl cream I've tried. And my hair looked shiny which is huge for me.
Not for humid climates
I think this gel could be great for people who live in dry climates. I live in a more humid, muggy climate. I have wavy 2a-2c hair, and while it does hold while I'm in the house, as soon as I step out, especially after it has been raining, my hair goes frizzy and flat. I wouldn't say the hold is the best in my opinion. I've had better luck and success with lack of frizz, good wave definement, and firm hold with the Aussie Instant Freeze Gel. So again, if you live in a dryer climate, this gel could definitely be something that works for you. However, if you live in a more humid climate, or a climate that rains a lot, I would probably steer away from this product.
perfect for my 2a-2c hair
I love this stuff it's exactly what ive been looking for to not weigh down my hair and keep my curls defined!! (i have 2a-2c hair thats pretty thin and fine)
