Not like the plastique volumnizer
I purchased this to replace the discontinued plastique volumnizer, which was perfect for my fine hair. This was not it.

I was looking for products that would keep my curls looking fresh between wash days, even with my rigorous daily workouts. Paired with the gel, this product has been a game changer. My hair stays defined and looks amazing without needing any refreshes. When I shower, I simply put my hair in a pineapple, and the steam, plus a few water droplets, is all it takes to revive my curls. It keeps my hair looking fresh until my next wash day!
Good light-medium gel
Im not a gel person since I have fine hair but this is one of the best light-medium hold gels I've tried. It naturally stretches and individually defines my curls. It leaves my hair shiny and soft. It doesnt take too much product either. It combines well with a good amount of other products too. Not great with humidity though. Btw I have type 3, fine, medium density hair.

Finally found the perfect gel. I have coarse, wavy hair so my main struggles are shine and keeping my waves nicely defined. I used this by itself over my leave-in and I had NO frizz, shiny hair, glossy waves, movement, softness. I also didn't need any refreshing the next day. Also works well over my curl creams. It's kind of annoying how well it works because I have a hair product graveyard now.

Can't believe I am saying this but I have been using this product for over 20 years! It's still the best product out there for my curls. Would've given it 5 stars if they hadn't changed the formula a few years back. The original was INCREDIBLE.
