Not like the plastique volumnizer
I purchased this to replace the discontinued plastique volumnizer, which was perfect for my fine hair. This was not it.

Finally found the perfect gel. I have coarse, wavy hair so my main struggles are shine and keeping my waves nicely defined. I used this by itself over my leave-in and I had NO frizz, shiny hair, glossy waves, movement, softness. I also didn't need any refreshing the next day. Also works well over my curl creams. It's kind of annoying how well it works because I have a hair product graveyard now.

Can't believe I am saying this but I have been using this product for over 20 years! It's still the best product out there for my curls. Would've given it 5 stars if they hadn't changed the formula a few years back. The original was INCREDIBLE.

Hair Type Wavy Hair
When I first tried this, it was meh for me but I've found with experimenting with new products for my 2a/b wavy hair, it takes some time to find a way for stuff to work well. I had loved the gel from love your curls for a while, but then lately it wasn't working as well. Finally switched back to this the other month. Now I love it lol. It's not perfect as I still get frizz in very humid Texas, but less than my other favorite gel now surprisingly. And my waves seem shinier and a little more defined, lasting longer too. Also loved that I had gotten it on sale last time; this lasts forever as you don't need much. I usually use it either just with my favorite ag fast food leave in conditioner, or spray leave in conditioner with the fast food plus this gel and hair oil. I also love that it's not sticky and easy to spread.
