Kenra answered that VOC is determined by state you live in. I live in Florida and I get both....sometimes it's 80% and sometimes 50%. I love the hold of the 80% but my hair is curly and needs "picking" and when I do that with the 80%, it hurts me because of the pulling of the hair even when I try to gently pick it and damages my hair. The 50% doesn't hold as well, but that is what I need to stop the damage. HOW CAN I GUARANTEE WHICH VOC I AM GETTING IF I ORDER FROM YOU? I love Kenra and don't want to give it up, but I must be able to tell what I am ordering when I order it.

Love the product, BUT...
Hair Type Straight Hair
This product is fantastic except for fact that I now have three partially used cans that will not spray. I've tried alcohol and hot water. I even called Kenra to see how to address problem with no resolution. I've heard from multiple beauty advisors that it is a known issue and it's due to the amount of lacquer in the spray. Three strikes - I'm done wasting money!

The Best Hair Spray Hands Down!

This is the only hair spray that I use because it holds my hairstyle in place in high humidity.
formula change
Kenra has changed the formula for this hairspray. They had to change it because of state regulations for VOC. You can still get the 80% VOC formula in many states but you have to read your labels. I believe Ulta no longer carries the 80% VOC formula so when you order you're getting the 50 or 55% VOC versions, which don't work the same. Check your VOC regulations for your state and verify what version you're ordering
New formula is awful
Ive used kenra 25 for many years. It has definitely been changed, but with no change to the label. Frustrating. Doesnt hold, swells sickly sweet, and comes out too forceful, in a small area. Very disappointed. Looking for a good substitute.
