Whats the difference between this product and Kenra's platinum silkening mist? Would a hair spray still need to be used in addition to a shine spray or does this product also give light hold? My hair is fine and needs volume but I'd also like it to have a healthy shiny appearance too. I'm afraid if I add too many products to give my hair volume and shine, it will just weigh my hair down or make it look too greasy.

- Verified Reply - Brand ExpertIt is a matter of preference between the two. Both products are lightweight and won't weigh the hair down or make it look greasy. Neither of the products give any hold, so we'd recommend using Working Spray 14 or Design Spray 9 in addition to the Shine Spray or Silkening Mist for the light hold you are looking for!Was this answer helpful to you

Because Shine Spray is applied to dry hair, we recommend applying a product from the Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Collection while the hair is damp before blow-drying to provide intense thermal defense up to 428°F and to reduce blow-dry time during that step also.Was this answer helpful to you

Grease - No Shine!
Hair Type Straight Hair
I have fine, straight hair and a chin length shag. I wanted to add some shine to the "wisps". I used just a tiny bit. The result was heavy, greasy hair and NO movement, NO shine. It felt like putty in my hair. Couldn't wait to wash it out! YUCK!

I received this item free with the purchase of my shampoo and conditioner. I was thrilled to try it out as I am a huge fan of Kenra's products. Well, unfortunately, this product did not meet expectations. It leaves my hair looking oily rather than adding a shine. I tried spraying in my hands and rubbing through my hair but that seemed to do nothing at all. The product has a very odd smell that I found unpleasant. I wouldn't purchase this item again.
