- Q
I currently use Medium Beige 12 in the matte finish. I was diagnosed with Rosacea and have incredibly dry skin. I no longer need the matte finish but when I bought the regular finish I looked like an oompa loompa - it was quite orange. Is there a different shade I should be using in the regular finish since I have such redness that I'm dealing with?
- Asked by L. Rico
- Official Answer By bareMinerals - BEThe shades in the Original and Matte versions of this foundation were created to be easy and match across the two finishes so the shade you wear in Matte is the same shade we suggest in the Original. If you think you received an odd shade we suggest contacting our Customer Care team at gethelp@ulta.com so they can exchange/return it for you.Was this answer helpful to you

BareMinerals RUINED my Skin: PLEASE READ
Back in January, I started using the BareMinerals Original Foundation. I was hooked, instantly! Super easy to apply plus it felt great on my skin! Shortly after starting this foundation, I started experiencing horrible breakouts. I'm not talking a small pimple here and there during your period. I me...

One of my favorite Brands!
I discovered Bare Minerals in 2014 from the commercials so I went to Ulta and bought some. I loved it then! I then switched to Tarte Amazonian clay loose powder foundation. Tarte has changed the formulation of their makeup and it didn't work anymore. So I have gone bare skinned for years until I reached my 45th birthday. I decided to eear makeup again, and tried NARS it was awesome but the color didn't match my skin and I looked to caked up. So today I went back to Bare Minerals, and the second I tried on it I knew this was right! I don't look washed out, the color matching was perfect and the way my skin looks like my own skin just upgraded lol was a huge plus for me! I love the natural look and breathable feel with it plus the added benefits. So glad i decided to try this brand again!
Breakout Free
The only foundation that doesn't break me out. Never discontinue this.
Love Bare Minerals powder foundation
I've used this foundation for years and still like it. The South where I live is very hot and humid, so I like that it's a powder foundation that doesn't make you sweat.
I keep coming back to this
For years this has been on and off my foundation. I used to get the matte one but the original has a much more natural finish. This is the only foundation ive found that passed 3/3 infeedient checkers (i have very acne prone skin). Im a bit oily and thatll show after a few hours of wear, but easily fixed by their setting powder. I've been using their pore minimizer primer, the original loose powder foundation, and their bronzer— it's all totally acne safe. I set with urban decay all
Awful..such a disappointment.
I dont't know what bare minerals was thinking with this formula. Its terrible, finish is cakey and separates badly especially in tzone within 3 hours of wear, settles in fine lines. Ive been using 24hr pro for atleast 5 years now consistently and nothing else because this is the only foundation that doesnt break me out or transer. Now it transers as well. Just all around a dissapointment and now I have to go through the trouble of trying a new brand. :(
