To apply with ORIGINAL or MATTE Loose Mineral Foundation:
SWIRL a small amount of foundation in the cap until it disappears into the brush.
TAP away any excess.
BUFF onto your skin in circular motions. This activates the minerals and transforms them from a powder to a silky cream. Repeat until you've achieved the coverage you want, from sheer to full.

uses too much powder
I use loose foundation and bought this brush to replace my worn out buki brush that came with my original starter set waaaay back a long time ago. I agree with the positive reviewers that it gives nice coverage, but the reason is because it sponges up way too much of the foundation powder. I know I ...

Such a soft brush
Love this soft brush. Does a good job applying this makeup
Poor new design
Old design was much better. The two levels of bristles on this design does nothing to get a smooth finish, and the brush itself is extremely wide. Also, no lid - the old design was retractable with a cover - much nicer
Quality Had Decreased
I am no longer a fan of this brush. Its less dense and the brissels are rough, not soft compared to previous loose foundation brushes from BM. Disappointed and will not he buying anymore.
Brush poorly designed and hard to clean
I replaced my usual kabuki brush for this one and I have to switch back. This design doesn't make sense. It's impossible to get powder in the middle on the shorter bristles. The outer bristles take all the powder and are too wide for the cap so powder goes flying over the sides. Cleaning it is worse. Despite drying it with a blow dryer to speed up the process, it stays wet for long enough to smell like an old wet towel. Threw mine away I just hated everything about it.
Hate this brush!
While I love the Bare Minerals products, this brush is horrible! It is extremely hard to get product onto the inside of the brush and it does not blend smooth onto your face. While I can appreciate the intent of the brush, it does NOT work well!
