A Few Pro Tips Before You Color: Your hair doesn't need to be squeaky-clean, but it should definitely be free of heavy styling products. (They can coat the hair and block the color from working to its maximum.) Hair color and activator should be at room temperature before mixing. Love your linens? Feel free to use a darker towel and pillowcase after the first couple of washes to keep them protected from any color transfer. If your hair is chemically straightened, relaxed, or permed, we recommend waiting two weeks to color after your last chemical treatment.

This is designed to gradually fade over time and it will fade faster the more it is shampooed. No way this is Demi-Permanent color

I went with this hairdye simply because it was demi-permanent, yet the color will not come out no matter what. Tried permanent color remover, and 40 volume developer multiple times on my hair. Nothing will get this Madison Reed Demi-permanent out.

Beautiful color! I had been dying my hair a lighter brown (permanent hair color) and decided to go darker. I have some gray hair and was initially hesitant to try demi-permanent dye, but I had read that the demi-permanent color kits did a great job covering grays. Sure enough - this product worked great and covered my grays. And the color is a nice, rich brown. I love it! I'm going to try other demi-permanent colors from Madison Reed.
