A Few Pro Tips Before You Color: Your hair doesn't need to be squeaky-clean, but it should definitely be free of heavy styling products. (They can coat the hair and block the color from working to its maximum.) Hair color and activator should be at room temperature before mixing. Love your linens? Feel free to use a darker towel and pillowcase after the first couple of washes to keep them protected from any color transfer. If your hair is chemically straightened, relaxed, or permed, we recommend waiting two weeks to color after your last chemical treatment.

This is designed to gradually fade over time and it will fade faster the more it is shampooed. - Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationWe’d love to help you with this hair color journey. This will be a two-step coloring process to gorgeous results. When going lighter in color or if your hair has faded to a lighter color, tone and pigment are removed from the hair. In order to go darker, those tones and pigments need to be reintroduced back into the hair in order for maximum tonal result and color longevity. We suggest you add warmth back into your hair with our prior to using permanent or demi permanent color. Our Miele Gloss is a great way to add the needed warmth back to the hair before coloring with a darker shade. For the application, we'd recommend applying Gloss first over the previous lighter sections. Let the color process for 25 minutes. After that, rinse and shampoo. Once your hair is dry, you can apply the darker shade of your choosing. I hope this is helpful for you. I have shorter hair and didnt use all of the product provided, so i have some leftover. How long does the dye last once mixed with the activator? Not great for highlights/multiple shades of blonde

I used the "Iconic Bronde" color. I really wish people would actually mentioned the color they used on these reviews. I have old highlights and balayage with some natural medium brown hair growth. I did a test strand and don't love it. If you have levels 8-11 blonde it will mainly pull the lighter blonde a darker ashier violet tone; however, on the darker blonde/light brown/golden tones I have, it didn't do much other than make it slightly darker. If that's all you want it would work, but I didn't like how it just makes my blonde/hair look dull and not bright tones anymore. I think I'll just use Wella's Demi permanent line and customize the color.

I wanted an alternative to permanent hair dye, so I could gracefully grow out to my gray. This seems to be working. Less than a month and still can't see gray. But it came in DARK at first. You also should include a cap and some gloves in ALL your products
