    How To Use

    • Step 1: Mix the color and activator
    • Step 2: Apply color all over from roots to ends

    • Step 4: Shampoo, condition, rinse

Be sure to read and follow the ColorWonder instructions included in your kit carefully before use.

A few pro tips before you color: Your hair doesn't need to be squeaky-clean, but it should definitely be free of heavy styling products. (They can coat the hair and block the color from working to its maximum.) Hair color and activator should be at room temperature before mixing. Love your linens? Feel free to use a darker towel and pillowcase after the first couple of washes to keep them protected from any color transfer. If your hair is chemically straightened, relaxed, or permed, we recommend waiting two weeks to color after your last chemical treatment.

    Q
how long does this stuff stay in
    Asked by Chelsea Burns
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
ColorWonder is our vibrant demi-permanent hair color for an instant vibe shift. ColorWonder can give you a pop of color, boost or darken your existing shade, or blend away the first signs of gray. It does not lighten your hair and your results depend on your current hair color. Plus, it washes out gradually, so you can find "the one for right now” then switch it up on your terms. Depending on your shampoo and hair care routine this can last 25-30 washes. Was this answer helpful to you

    Q
Will this make my hair oily or greasy like a gloss or glaze? I have very fine, thin, and oily hair.
    Asked by Hiltop
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
Hello! The ColorWonder is demi-permanent, so sits on the outside of the strand. We do recommend strand testing, prior to all over coloring, to ensure you are happy with the results. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
Can you mix only half of the product and then mix the other half the next time you need it?
    Asked by rinx
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
We do not suggest mixing in small portions as this may affect end-results. It’s imperative to your results that enough product is used to fully saturate your strands. If you do mix smaller portions, we strongly suggest using a kitchen scale to get accurate measurements. It is important to make sure to cap the remaining product separately and air-tight for future uses. Was this answer helpful to you

    Q
For male hair 5 inches long, how many treatments can I get out of one purchase? Can you confirm this last 60 days if I wash on alternate days?
    Asked by ALBERT
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
If you have really thick hair you may want to use two to start. However, 5 inches and a average amount of hair, one kit will work. This is designed to gradually fade over time and it will fade faster the more it is shampooed. We recommend a color protecting shampoo and conditioner as well as washing your hair in tepid water. Was this answer helpful to you

    Q
My hair is light brown. When I have darkened it in the past it had a greenish grey color especially on my ends. How do I get to a dark mocha or espresso brown with out the greenish grey color?
    Asked by Darker hair needed
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
We’d love to help you with this hair color journey. This will be a two-step coloring process to gorgeous results. When going lighter in color or if your hair has faded to a lighter color, tone and pigment are removed from the hair. In order to go darker, those tones and pigments need to be reintroduced back into the hair in order for maximum tonal result and color longevity. We suggest you add warmth back into your hair with our prior to using permanent or demi permanent color. Our Miele Gloss is a great way to add the needed warmth back to the hair before coloring with a darker shade. For the application, we'd recommend applying Gloss first over the previous lighter sections. Let the color process for 25 minutes. After that, rinse and shampoo. Once your hair is dry, you can apply the darker shade of your choosing. I hope this is helpful for you. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns about this process. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
After following the steps provided in the instructions and drying my hair, I've noticed that a few pieces of my hair are still my natural color. I have shorter hair and didnt use all of the product provided, so i have some leftover. How long does the dye last once mixed with the activator? Can i use it again to touch up the few pieces that didnt hold the color?

Hello! Just wondering if any of the colors (especially black velvet ) tend to smudge/bleed on clothing once the process of coloring the hair has been completed (washed and dried etc.) and ready to be styled? Thank you in advance for replying to my inquiry :)
    Asked by EllaBella
Official Answer By Madison Reed - Syndication
Hello! All dark hair colors bleed, and on freshly colored hair there can be some transfer. We do recommend wearing darker colors for the first couple shampoos to avoid this. Was this answer helpful to you

This makes going grey a game changer!

This year I made the decision to grow out my greys. It started with putting my MR subscription on hold for 3 months. Then a few weeks ago I saw my stylist to have all of the color past my new grow out bleached. Over the past two weeks I've been getting used to it being blond but really just wanted t...

Giving two stars for the ease of use of this kit. However the color result is nowhere near any idea of the color bronze. I color my hair with Madison Reed's Firenze Brown so it's a light-medium brown with golden / mahogany tones. This kit turned my hair black with a cheap-looking purple-red cast. Praying that the complaints that it fades quickly are true. I wish I could undo it.

    More Permanent than Demi

This shade is very brassy and as much as I try to cover it up or reduce the brassiness with semi-permanent colors over it, it just stays there -- even 3 months later. I have a severe growth line which shouldn't happen with demi color. The shade itself reminds me of color my great grandmother might have used when I was a kid. LOL and ugh. So anyway, I would consider this permanent hair color just and FYI.
