Key Ingredients

  • Blend of five ceramides (np, ns, ap, eos, eop) - lipids that help maintain skin's natural function, reduce moisture loss, and protect against dehydration, irritation, and signs of aging
  • Lipids (fatty acids, cholesterol, & squalane) - support skin's natural moisture barrier - to help seal in moisture and provide a barrier against external aggressors
  • Ceramide precursors (caprooyl phytosphingosine + caprooyl sphingosine) - molecules that work to encourage ceramide production and receive new ceramides

Q
If using with a retinoid cream, should this serum come before or after the retinoid?
Asked by Mac
Official Answer By cocokind - Brand Engage
Hi! You can apply the ceramide barrier serum after retinoid. Let the retinoid dry down before proceeding with any subsequent steps, such as serums and moisturizer. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this similar to the drunk elephant intensive hydration serum?
Asked by Similar
Official Answer By cocokind - Brand Engage
Hi! Unfortunately we cannot advise on comparisons between our products and those from other brands - sorry about that! That being said, our ceramide barrier serum is a universal hydration and skin barrier support serum formulated to lock in moisture, protect against dryness, and calm the appearance of irritation. It's dermatologist tested and designed for sensitive skin. We hope you give it a try!Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I use this product with Perioral dermatitis or will it cause more inflammation?
Asked by Hopeful
Official Answer By cocokind - Brand Engage
Hi! Unfortunately, we don't have products specifically targeting treatment of Perioral dermatitis. Using lightweight unscented products would reduce the potential of triggering Perioral dermatitis so because of that we recommend using our electrolyte water cream! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
How often should this be used?

Official Answer By cocokind - Brand Engage
Hi! The ceramide barrier serum is sensitive skin-friendly and is suitable for daily use in the AM and/or PM. We recommend listening to your skin and adjusting as needed because everyone’s skin is unique. Was this answer helpful to you

Can I use ceramide barrier serum after trentinion cream and then apply moisturizer?
Asked by MBC
Official Answer By cocokind - Brand Engage
Hi! Our ceramide barrier serum and resurrection polypeptide cream are excellent products to pair with your active (retinol) in your nighttime routine, offering enhanced firming benefits from the cream's polypeptide technology and providing hydration and barrier support through the ceramide serum. Great so far

My skin is dry, aging, sensitive, and is prone to rosacea and eczema. Previously, I was using Weleda Sensitive line, but it was discontinued. It was just ok--no real positive changes to my skin. I have been using this serum for about 2 weeks. Immediately after applying it, there was noticeably less redness on my nose and cheeks. It seems to be very calming. I am using it in conjunction with a moisturizer from the same line. Still too soon to know if there will be positive changes to my skin, but so far it's been great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This is a skincare game changer. As someone who has struggled with acne (and, unfortunately, picking said acne) since teenage years, I have grown accustomed to red, painful skin. In my late 30s, I found myself at the end of my rope and thinking there really must be another way. I did some research and discovered the importance of protecting your skin's barrier. Why this was a new idea to me, I have no idea. If you have problematic skin (and probably even more so if you are neurodivergent with some sensory fixations), then you probably get what I mean when I say I have this horrible obsession with feeling like my skin needs to be SCRUBBED to the limit in order to feel "clean." But after learning that I've just been systematically destroying my skin's barrier and keeping it from healing for years, I decided to try this barrier serum after reading reviews. It has made such a big difference. My skin just *feels* better defended and not so painful or stripped away. I still have a ways to go with changing the habits that contribute to my painful skin, but truly no other product has made such a difference. I have been using it for over a year now and I don't think I'll ever remove it from my routine.

10/10. If are deciding which product to try first, the Ceramide Barrier Serum is it! It makes my skin feels so balance. When I consistently use I am less oily... I believe it's because my skin is balanced and hydrated and I don't overproduce excessive "oily skin",
