Asked by Allison
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! We don't recommend combining Direct Acids with other Direct Acids as this may disrupt the skin barrier that can lead to signs of irritation. Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. Your answer to "Can this product be used in the same routine as the 2% salisylic acid serum?" was "not in the same regimen." Does that mean I can use salicylic acid in the morning and this product at night, or vice versa? Or does it mean I should not use this product at all if I plan to continue using the 2% salicylic acid serum?
Asked by ABC

Hey there! So sorry for any confusion. Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA may be used together in the same regimen as Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA has no conflicts. Q
Does textual irregularities include KP, keratosis pilaris?
Asked by PositiveBroccoli
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Keratosis Pilaris (sometimes referred to as KP or strawberry skin) is characterized by rough and bumpy skin and can show up in places like the arms and legs. A combination of exfoliation and hydration can help target the feel of rough and bumpy skin. We recommend applying Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner to exfoliate the skin, followed by Natural Moisturizing Factors + Inulin to provide all-day continuous moisture. Please note that we do not recommend applying this product to broken or irritation skin, or covered areas such as the inner thighs or underarms. None of our products can be considered medical treatments for persistent skin concerns. If you are experiencing extensive or persistent skin conditions, please consult your doctor or dermatologist. <3Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Makes my face feels very dry, and ... painful

Submitted 29 days ago

By Tilly

From Northern VA

My cheeks are always red, and my dermatologist recommended using this for 3 weeks then slowly add my regular facial products to see which one is making my cheeks red. The first 2-3 days of using this cream on my face, my face felt very tight and dry, and it was an uncomfortable feeling. By Day 3, I decided to add facial lotion on top of this cream, after it was dried, with the hope that the tightness and dry feeling would go away. Instantly, as i was applying facial cream on my face, my face started feeling like there were hundreds of pins all over it. It was so uncomfortable and some what painful. Even when I tried to wash it off, the painful sensation continues for awhile. I gave my face break from this cream, and a few days later, I repeat the routine, and again, as soon as I started putting another facial cream on my face, the pain returns. Either way, I don't like how it made my face feel, even when used alone. One thing I do like is this facial cream is very smooth to touch, reminds me of baby powder on skin.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
