Q
What is the difference bewteen this and the niacinamide toner and which one is more suitable for sensitive acne prone skin?
Asked by camilla
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Great question! The Niacinamide Brightening Toner will act as a prep step and contains a lower dosage of niacinamide in the formulation. The toner also contains Vitamin C, whereas the serum does not. The 5% Niacinamide Serum with Ectoin is in fact a 5% concentration of Niacinamide that helps with texture, sebum production, pores, and the overall tone of the skin. It also contains Ectoin at 0.50% to hydrate and helps defend the skin from external aggressors, supporting our barrier function. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
If i use this during the day, can i use the GM retinol serum at night?

Great question! You can, in fact, utilize the Good Molecules 5% Niacinamide Serum along with the Gentle Retinol Cream or with the 1% Retinol Night Oil in the same routine. You can apply them back to back or apply the 5% Niacinamide Serum in the morning and the Retinol you are using in the evening. This will be perfectly fine. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this suitable for sensitive, rosacea-prone skin?
Asked by Dog Person
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Hi there! The Good Molecules 5% Niacinamide with Ectoin is in fact a great product to use on sensitive/rosacea skin. Niacinamide really helps to soothe and reduce inflammation, which helps decrease sensitivity and redness. Ectoin is a moisture binder and barrier strengthener that protects the skin from environmental stressors that can contribute to flare ups. Hope this information is helpful! Was this answer helpful to you

Amazing for skin texture!!

Submitted 2 days ago

I have been using this 5% niacinamide serum for 3 weeks now, it has gotten rid of my closed comedones, skin texture, and (most) acne. This + the 10% benzoyl peroxide wash from panoxyl is an amazing duo for acne. The only thing is that if I use 4+ drops my face becomes sort of oily yet slightly glowy, usually my skin's dry. My skin is a lot more hydrated and slightly brighter—as far as hyperpigmentation/acne scars, I haven't noticed a difference with improvement. For reference: I have dry, acne prone, sensitive, uneven skintone type skin. If I see a difference in my acne scars, I will update!

I have acne-prone skin and been on a hunt for a daily serum, and I'm pretty sure I've found it with this product. It's only been two weeks but my breakouts (shoutout to hormones) have subsided and not left discoloration.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I use this constantly…and LOVE IT

I used to use a 10% niacinamide for pore appearance and oil control, but I noticed that that level was too strong for me, and my face got pretty irritated. Combine that with the dry winter air, and I was looking for something that was hydrating but would help to even my skin out a little bit. When I saw the teasers for this I knew I had to try it out and my god it is wonderful. Every morning I rinse my face with water and then apply this while I'm still slightly damp. It absorbs easily, doesn't leave any kind of film, and makes my face feel nice and hydrated. Absolute 10/10, I'm on my third bottle and I'm gonna keep coming back as long as this is available! Bonus points: I use the HERO Cosmetics light mineral sunscreen every morning and when I use this niacinamide under it, it doesn't pill up at ALL. That was such a pain with the last serum I tried so just another reason to love this serum.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I felt like it made my skin oily , I normally use their regular niacinamide which i love . it would probably be good by itself with no moisturizer if you have oily skin
