It works great!

I was impressed when I first opened the package. The packaging is great and I was impressed instantly with the logo and meaning of the brand. The yellow square caught my attention. The texture is light and has a great soft texture when I applied to my skin. It's perfect for removing makeup. I got me...

It's not it bro

So I've been on the hunt for a cleansing balm that is microplastics free, and this is one that came up so I decided to try it. Um, it's really really thick. Not in a good way like the "oh this'll melt into the skin really nice and remove everything" way, but in a bad way like "oh crap I forgot my ...

I love all the Byoma products I've used so far, but this one is just bad- I'm shocked it has any positive reviews. I've been using it for a few months now, hoping it would grow on me, but no. It's very oily and repels water even after it's emulsified and turned milky. Just feels like you rubbed vaseline on your face. And it doesnt remove makup AT ALL. I dont even where waterproof products. Plain water removes my makeup better than this stuff. It barely makes makeup budge - it takes 2-3 times for me to get any of it off and it ends up just making makeup smear and stick to my face. And your face feels so gross after using it, so you have to use another cleanser to get the gross vaseline feeling off. The only MAYBE good thing i can say is that it doesnt dehydrate my face like other cleasners - if you can even truly call this a cleanser. Don't waste hour money, y'all.

I have been using this product for a while now and I really like it. The price for what you get is a little high but it has done really well with my skin. It's definitely oil based so probably not the best for oily skin. This cleanser left my skin feeling really hydrated and my skin didn't feel stripped. I do have to say it does have a weird smell. When I first used it I thought it smelled like clay but I quickly got over it once I saw what it was doing for my skin. This cleanser is also really great at removing makeup, although I want to mention that to take off mascara you have to wash your face twice. I don't believe that this melting balm was meant to be a makeup remover but it does a pretty great job. When you first put the product in your hands it feels almost like a putty, but the second you rub it into your face it becomes an oil. After you rub it into your face it does take a bit of effort to wash it off. When water gets mixed with the melting balm it becomes a really milky white and from there it is easy to remove.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This does not work to remove mascara or eyeliner. Even if I dip in multiple times and use a wash cloth it does not remove my mascara basically at all. You are better off with ELF

Decent product that's ridiculously over-packaged

As far as cleansing balms go, this one did a fine job - removed all traces of makeup and mascara easily, rinsed cleanly, and has no perceptible odour. I will not buy it again, however, due to how overpackaged it is. You think the container will be full of product, but inside, there is a smaller round compartment holding the balm (another user posted an image of this). It is - quite frankly - outrageous. While several other brands are making an effort to reduce plastic packaging, BYOMA seems to want to use MORE plastic. In fact, I have purchased several BYOMA products and find they all suffer from this (though the balm is the worst offender). The products are fine, but they're not "holy grail" type products, and definitely not worth all the plastic waste that they produce

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Worst cleansing balm I've ever used

This cleansing balm smells horrible, is too thick, and balls up into wax beads when being used. It barely removes eye makeup. Do not try it.
