Satisfying dupe for CliniqueI'm very pleasantly surprised with this cleansing balm. My all-time-favorite is the Clinique Take the Day Off balm, but I wanted to see if I could find a similar product for a bit cheaper. Behold Good Molecules. The associate at my local Ulta forewarned me she had heard great comments about this product but did not believe it was comparable to Clinique, but I'm here to tell you yes - if you like the Clinique balm, definitely give this one a try. I like using it for my waterproof mascara and sunscreen, and it takes the smallest bit to remove everything. I have angry, dehydrated rosacea skin and this doesn't irritate it at all. If I get it in my eyes, there's no stinging nor a film left on my eyeballs for the next hour or so - it rinses right out. A really great value! I personally enjoy the tin; it's pretty cute and I've not had any issues screwing it back on, and the plastic spatula is a nice touch. I no longer have to reuse my magnetic spatula from my Farmacy moisturizer on my cleansing balms.I do like it but,Just to preface, my is normally oily/acne prone. I get more cystic acne, especially before/during my cycle. I first bought this maybe half a year ago. With the first initial use I have no problems with it. It does it's job of cleaning and getting they day off or makeup off if I've worn makeup. It never caused me to have any flare ups or reactions. I would say this is a good starter if you're wanting to dip your foot into skincare and learn more about double cleansing. Recently, I feel like it's not as good of a formula. When I wipe around my eyes it creates a fog and it's so hard to get out of my eyes. The reason why I'm reviewing now is because my ulta did not have it in stock and I was desperate for a balm for my double cleansing routine. I switched over to another brand and noticed the difference. I always thought it was doing an okay job of cleaning for the first step of my routine, but now I notice that my skin looks better using a different balm. Maybe it's also because I'm nearing my 30s and need more TLC for my skin that I see the difference. This was still a good product for the time that I had used it, and even helped me to combat some of my worst acne. I would more than likely recommend this to someone that is just starting their journey, as it is a great price and it's gentle enough to not cause irritation.

Allergic reaction

Beware. Please do a test spot prior to using. This product caused me to have an absolutely horribly allergic reaction on my face. My eyes swelled shut my whole face swelled up. Use caution prior to using.

5 star product, 2 star packaging

This has to be the best cleansing balm that I've tried. It gets almost all of my makeup off and the rest can be removed with a quick cleanse from my Cerave cleanser. I love that this comes with a spatula so I don't need to dig my fingers into the product. My only problem with this product is the packaging. I can never get the lid on correctly on the first try! It just does not slip on easily. It always seems to be off the track so it doesn't close tightly. For that reason, i would never travel with this product. It feels like a mess waiting to happen. However, the main criticism that I am seeing is it's smell, which I can honestly say I've never noticed before. I actually opened the product to write this review so I knew what it smelled like. It does have a faint, earthy smell, but I truly have never noticed it while using the product. I absolutely prefer that over an artificial fragrance many products have. I will absolutely buy this product again, as long as I have something else to travel with.

Can't get past the smell

I can usually keep using something I like, even if I'm not crazy about the scent. But wow, this smells rancid. Purchased this on impulse in the store before reading reviews. Had to check reviews afterwards to make sure I wasn't just getting a product gone bad. I appreciate when something doesn't have added fragrance but something is definitely 'off' here.

I have really sensitive, combination, acne prone skin. This product has not only helped double clense my face after makeup, but hybrates it without feeling oily, it as little to no smell of any fragrance so it does not burn my face, it soothes my skin and even helped clear my acne, and its extremely affordable. Buying another one now. This is now a holy grail to me. Its always sold out at the Ulta near me!! 10/10 recommend

LOVE this in my double cleanse!

I purchased this balm as my oil step for a double cleanse- its amazing! I have very sensitive, acne prone skin. I've had 0 negative reaction. No scent, and it leaves my skin silky smooth. It gets off MOST of the makeup, but I use la roche posay cream cleanser after.
