After many years of seriously researching skin care, I hit on a mixture of products that address and actually DO what I expect them to do...which is improve and relax my aging facial skin. After cleansing, I use 2% H.A. serum with as few additives as I can find. (All the oils and botanicals some lines add to the H.A. serum simply impede absorption, IMO). I make certain my face is damp when I apply the H.A. This is important as the various molecular weights of the serum will be more efficiently absorbed into the deeper layers of the dermal skin. Then comes the Argirlaline (sp.)Serum, and finally the Matrixyl 10%. I make sure each serum has time to work it's magic, best to apply these layers about 5 minutes apart. Fortunately, The Ordinary makes these separate serums for a very reasonable price, and the consistency and quality are beyond question.. I was following this twice-a-day routine with a 2% Retinol most days, but I have to cut that product out, or else begin applying it several hours apart from the regular routine. I've learned that mixing Matrixyl with certain acids can cause skin eruptions, and I think this may be why some people are experiencing breakouts. They may be using a product that contains one of these acids after the Matrixyl . I need to do more research on that. I won't use a product unless I can understand WHY it works, I want to read and understand the science behind it. It takes time to do the research, to wade through the medical-speak and understand what the bottom line is about these serums. And it's not easy, but what is more important than getting results? This routine I described works for me, I am approaching 70 years of age and I have nearly attained the Korean ideal of "glass skin". Deep wrinkles are a thing of the past and I can actually see and feel the difference after each routine. It is easy to purchase these ingredients, in The Ordinary line, from Ulta and I will continue to do so.
I'm 32, and have the slightest hint of a wrinkle between my eyebrows, and with one starting under my eye, and slight wrinkles showing from smiling. This has worked some wonders, especially on my eyebrow wrinkle which is the deepest (and judging from my Dad's deep set eyebrow wrinkles... is probably genetic and I know who I get it from) The catch for me, is something is causing me to break out, and mainly in the areas that I'm currently applying this. Hopefully I'm wrong, and this isn't the cause, but for now I have to take it out of my routine and see if my skin clears up more. I have very breakout prone skin, so if you do not this may be great for you.

Great addition to skincare. After using 2-3 weeks my skin became plump and super soft, texture improved, felt nicely nicely moisturized

This is very easy to apply and I can see it makes a difference.

I use a small amount under my make up in the morning and after I wash my face in the evening. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly.

I started using The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA about 4 months ago. I have seen a noticeable improvement in my wrinkles. I started noticing the difference within a few weeks, the lines are smoother and softer. Then there is the price, unbelievable! I don't know how they offer the low prices, I am just grateful to them. The Ordinary has transformed my skin.

Ever since I started using the Matrixl with the squaline my face looks healthier, brighter, beautiful natural glow. I have been getting lots of compliments lately which says alot because I usually use High end products in my face. This does the same and/or better for the fraction of the cost. AMAZING!

I'm 26 years old. Never had a skin care regimen or even a routine.. I noticed at my age my skin starting to dry out under my eyes near cheeks and nose and my skin just looking dull. No glow / no volume. Using this product with basic collagen cream for 2.5 weeks has really really improved my skin. I haven't had any acne and my skin has is so soft, and appears to be fuller. I now feel I look better without foundation. I've come along way!! Try it!

This one wasn't anything special for me. I have mature, dehydrated and acne-prone skin. I love the ingredient list of this serum. I used one bottle and really noticed no effect. It didn't seem to help with hydration despite the HA. It also remains sticky for a long time after application. Maybe I needed to use longer to see effects, but I'm not purchasing this again. Two stars out of trust that the good ingredients helped in some way that I couldn't see.

I was looking for something that would help with fine lines and wrinkles and just make my skin look good. I also wanted something that applies similarly to a high end brand of serum I ran out of. While the ingredients may be different, this is what I wanted. I believe the ingredients are actually better than the high end serum. Will buy again and again.

WOWWW I'm blown away, I had a standing boh-tox appt and I cancelled it!. This in one week of consistent use erased "the elevens" wrinkles between my eyebrows that I usually pay $200 to get boh-toxed. It even smoothed out the tiny wrinkles around "the elevens". Where was this in my 20s and 30s?!! I'm seriously blown away and can't recommend it enough! People think i'm exaggerating that in one week I saw results but I was absolutely pessimistic when I bought it and now I'm an The Ordinary worshipper!

I have not used long enough to notice any particular benefits. I like that it is not oil based, it applies easily. It is slightly tacky, but it does not have any noticeable unpleasant odor. It does not seem to cause any irritation in conjunction with other serums or moisturizers. Good price point.

That's a great product.

This serum feels so great on my skin. Has a nice texture & finish. Not greasy. I'm 60 & concerned w wrinkles & losing collagen in my skin. Matrixyl is an important ingredient to help keep wrinkles from getting deeper. This stuff does the job w added hyaluronic acid to plump skin. I use it at night after cleansing. Does not clog pores & is a superior product for the cost. Peptide cream can be expensive. I'm sticking to this bc of the results!

If you use a dermaroller, then this serum is a good one to use on your face afterwards. It'll tone down redness, puffiness and add moisture back into your skin. Highly recommended for use after this procedure (and overnight).

Noticed itchiness increases after wearing. Dermatologists recommend moisturizing pre serum for sensitive skin so I tried that but still feels itchy. May try again after detoxing my skin from essential oils, fragrance that have sensitized skin.

After using the AHA BHA solution, this helps calm my skin down since I have very sensitive dry skin plus it's supposed to help with fine lines. Highly recommend because I did see results on my skin.

I have been using the Matrixyl 10% + HA with good, albeit glycerin-sticky, results. Unfortunately, the bottle I received was filled to slightly below the top edge of the label, The other products I purchased were completely filled, so I would like to think that the lesser amount in this bottle was an anomaly. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the results.

Super effective product that I can actually see improvement with texture of my skin and decrease in some very fine lines I was starting to notice. For me it is 100% non irritating but I don't have active acne, just working through some old texture and scarring.

I prefer this product over the buffet. Dries down smooth, no irritation. Plus bonus of HA. I was surprised and very happy to find an in-store display that contained most popular products from TO. All Ulta stores should carry TO instore.

I rotate this with the Ordinary Hyauloric Acid. It goes on smooth and absorbs well. Price is right.

I use this after I do my micro needling. Burns for a few minutes, but the outcome is amazing! I also use it without the micro needling. Does a great job at making my skin feel and look my hydrated and plump!
Azriella from Oregon
This is the best serum (and budget friendly) for using for your "glide" while microneedling, and my skin drinks it up post-treatment too. My face is left plump and glowy! 😇
Mylinh123 from Florida
It feels nice on the skin and it does help to enhance hydration with your serums and face creams.

I use this brand's hylaurolic acid, and it's my fav., so of coarse I wanted to try this. The only other items I use is toner and vitamin c serum. My face stung, and ended up creating new hyperpigmentation. My skin is sensitive, and the hylaurolic mixed with the other items I regularly use doesn't burn me like this did. If you have sensitive skin, be careful with this.

I have rosacea and I also get eczema flare ups occasionally. It's hard to find anti aging products that are safe for my skin and that are still effective. While this might not be the fanciest serum out there, it does the job without irritation! My skin feels firm and looks plump after one week of using this, and I've had no signs of any kind of reaction. I haven't noticed a reduction of the fine line I have on my forehead yet, but the lines around my eyes look much better already. Based on the results I've had so far, I highly recommend this to anyone with super sensitive skin looking for an effective anti aging serum!
