Most Helpful Positive Review Best Line I've Tried So Far!!
I am 6 months in to going natural and have easily spent 1K in products so far. This line blew me away!!! The smell is divine!! Very light and not too overwhelming. It's very lightweight yet hydrating on my hair which is important to me since I have LP hair. It's line is fabulous!! I can't say enough good things about it.

I don't get why this is getting such good reviews. I got both this and the CurlSmith Souffle. It doesn't do anything for my 3B curly hair. After seeing the amazing results people were posting online, I wanted to try this (have been using DevaCurl for over a decade).
- You have to use a LOT of product. Way more than previous DC products I have used. Even then...
- By the end of wash day, it already looks like I'm not wearing any product on my hair at all. By the end of the day, my hair loses definition and starts to frizz. Day 2 hair looks dull and undefined. Day 3 hair looks like I've been crawling in a cave for 5 years.
- The bottle is super cheap - like a 25-cent water bottle thickness. You have to really squeeze to get the product out, and I think I'm one squeeze away from cracking it.
Bottom line - if this was a drugstore product labeled "curly" I'd give it 3 stars. But this is not drugstore priced. Can't wait to get to the bottom of it and return my hair to the DevaCurl products that I know and trust.

This product is probably good for other things and hair types but it claims to be moisturizing and to not weigh down hair which is the complete opposite of what it does. Not worth it and I'm not even sure if I can get my money back
The best for curls
MayorKnowImSaying from Minneapolis
I purchased this with hopes of a weightless, beautiful curl cream and I was not disappointed! Paired with a diffuser, magical!
not for my family

this didn't do anything for me or my family but leave our hair dried out and stiff
Good but Pricey

I grabbed this during the hair care event on a whim. I've seen this brand before but it seemed targeted towards people with looser curls (2b/3a/3b). After looking up some reviews on youtube I felt comfortable spending ~14 on this and the Curl Defining Styling Souffle. I have thick hair and a little definitely goes a long way (I was being modest in amount used because it is only 8oz). I'm not sure if i'll repurchase ($$$$$) it but I am loving it so far. I did a wash and go with this followed by the souffle as directed and it was extremely defined, light, and weightless on my 3c/4a hair that last for the week with proper upkeep. I still did have frizz, but it was significantly less than usual and without an oil.
Great for extremely curly hair.

I took a chance on this since it was on sale. My daughter have very tight curls, and a ton of hair. In the winter is seems to get even drier than in the summer. They seem to like this so far. My youngest daughter had a terrible reaction to the cowash by this brand, so we are not using this on her hair. My hair is fine and has loose curls and waves, and I would never try this product in my own hair. It would be way too much.
Amazing stuff !

I really love this product line. I can't rave enough about it. My hair is naturally dry and frizzy. I finally found something that does exactly what it claims. The conditioning wash leaves my hair detangled. I also use the soufflé. The soufflé does take some getting used to. The texture of the product is jelly like. But wow what an amazing difference I have seen in my hair. I noticed after my second usage of the products. Oh and the smell! I love the smell. It kind of reminds me of the old original scent of Jergens hand lotion.

First time trying this brand and I love it. I got it on the hair event sale (50% off). I have 4b/4c low porosity hair and this conditioner melts into my hair. The texture is thick but when applied to hair it melts like butter in a hot pan. It smell sweet like candy , very VERY hydrating and left my hair SUPER soft for days. Buy this it's worth every penny.
Not for me

Had to return. Smells good but i disliked how it made my hair feel. Made my hair feel like heavy product build up like I haven't washed my hair in days.
Sticky and horrible

I wanted to like this so bad (esp for the price) but good god it is like GLUE — so heavy and thick and oily :( I have 2bish curly wavy hair and it made it look not good every time i used it

My husband has 3B hair and this did nothing. I have dry-as-h*ll 2A hair, and it made my hair feel dirty. Curlsmith's co-wash is incredible. Unfortunately this product is just too heavy.
BEST LEAVE IN EVER

I have 3A breast length curls and had not found a moisturizing yet define leave in conditioner! Then, I found CURLSMITH! This stuff is amazing and will change your life!! The cost is high but the results outweigh it!! It's that good!
Fantastic Leave In
Tonya from Arlington, TX
This is a great leave in conditioner. My hair feels very moisturized after using it and a little goes a long way. It works very well with the style balm.
I was sure hoping to love this product more than indo

This product needs to be mixed with something to make it thinner. It is so thick is it extremely hard to get out of the bottle. A pump bottle might have worked better.
Great for protein damaged hair/dry brittle type 3A 3B curls
Christina from Florida
I must've spent 100s of $$$ on products, looking for something that would moisturize my curls after finding out I had some extremmeee protein damage. My 3A/3B curls were going completely straight except for a few curls holding on for dear life at the ends of my hair. My hair felt like straw and would feel so dry using any product, there were a few products that would make my hair feel more moisturized just for day 1, but by day 2 it was back to straw. This curlsmith leave-in is the only product out of the dozensss I've tried that left my hair feeling soft and moisturized for days. I used their double cream deep quencher in the shower and left it on for 30 min as a deep conditioning treatment, used this curl conditioning oil in cream leave-in on soaking wet hair, then followed up with the hold me softly style balm. I'm getting more curls, my hair looks healthier, curls are more clumped together (no where near as stringy), and my hair has never in my whole life been softer. I love this line so much, it's the only thing that could help with my protein damage. I tried dozens of products and curlsmith is the only one to really help in reviving my curls. I appreciate that they use such amazing ingredients and really care about making quality products. For anyone who has protein damage/protein sensitive or has veryyyy dry, brittle, straw like hair, I really really really recommend these products.

I'm still not sure about this product. Might give to niece. Scent is slightly strong and I've got a sensitive nose. Texture nice.
Lots of moisture
Jacy from NJ
My daughter has a lot of hair and is very dry. We found this product helps with keeping her moisturized and its long lasting. She applies it throughly on and in her hair while it's wet. The product is thick and it makes her hair shiny. It also smells good.
I returned this jar.

I am light handed with products and this repeatedly made my hair feel heavy or dirty. I am a white woman with "wavy color-treated not real thick" hair. I was really hoping it would be my nirvana. Darn.
No go for me :(
Messy Jessie from Philadelphia
Returned it! Wanted to like this but it was too heavy for my hair and left it oily....this does not usually happen because my curly hair is thick, coarse and dry, i have found ouidads leave in to be the best for my 3a/3b curls.
Great leave in

I was skeptical when I first tried it because it wasn't greasy like I'm used to but as it soaked in it moisturized my coils beautifully. I followed with the Styling Soufflé and my hair was defined and full of moisture.

Nothing has worked on my hair as well as this. I will be switching all my hair care products over to this brand! I have type 2b hair with certain areas that are very coarse and this as made those coarse hairs feel like silk. This product also has a very pleasant smell. I highly recommend!
Would 100% recommend

i use this product all the time and i regularly straighten my hair and dry it out because the frizz is outta control, but this product always keeps my hair moist and restores my curls back to th eway they were in the beginning
Andrea from Syracuse NY
I bought this to try cutting down on the amount of product I had been using. I use this in place of the leave-in, oil, and cream products I used every wash day. My 3b/3c hair has NEVER looked or felt better! EVER. I use this with the Shower Styler after and that is it. I think I have finally found my brand after years of trying probably hundreds of products in hundreds of different combinations. I just ordered the Booster by Curlsmith and cannot wait to try.
MissVee from Denver
How does this product really have a 4.8 review? I am absolutely mystified. I used the entire jar just so I could give it an honest try and review. I haaaattteeed it. It left my hair and hands sticky, my hair wasn't at all "soft curl". I have naturally loose waves and I don't really heat style so I was expecting magnificent results for the type and condition of hair I have. Nothing. It was a total waste of money.
Best curly hair products for my fine 3a curls
Elisabettawil from Reno
I have thin fine 3a/b curls. I took the plunge when these were on sale. I use the conditioning co-wash, rinse and then the oil-in-cream on soaking wet hair. Plop in a T-shirt then let air dry. I don't need any products after the oil-in-cream, just a small dollop of that leaves me with shiny, controlled and voluminous curls. I absolutely love the smell, and it's not too strong, fades when dry, as much as any fragrance in haircare. I color my hair, and the combo of just these 2 products makes my hair bounce back to normal after the harsh process. If you are looking to go natural, this is definitely worth the splurge.
I have also used Deva Curl and Innersense, with both I ended up with drier, tangly hair that needs more styling products, and tried Oidad, with massive frizz (yuck, silicones). Also worth noting, I sleep on a satin pillowcase, and it's made a difference in my hair AND skin. Ulta is now selling these too, score!
