Most Helpful Positive Review very gentle!
This makeup remover is perfect for me. I like to be thorough so I usually use up to 4 cotton rounds soaked with this stuff to remove all of my makeup. It is especially helpful for me because I am clinically depressed and am often out of energy to do much in the way of taking care of myself, and this I can do from bed. It has also been super helpful with evening out my skin tone and texture. Not sure if that is an intended benefit, but it's definitely welcome!
Most Helpful Critical Review Oily.
I've been using the micellar water with the green cap since I have oily skin and I love it.
My local store didn't have that one in stock so I picked up the one with the blue cap and I wish I hadn't. There's a layer of oil that just sits on top and it doesn't help to shake the bottle. This one makes my face feel even more greasy and I have to wash my face after using it. I thought it says oil free?? I'm just going to stick with the green capped one from now on.

I use a separate, gel-to-oil cleanser to remove my face makeup. I have been using Garnier's micellar water for years for my eye makeup, and had switched to a more difficult-to-remove mascara, so I figured it was time to switch to the waterproof remover (this blue cap one). I was immediately impressed by how easily everything glided off, but a few weeks into it I began to have a raised red rash around my eyes. It was bumpy, but didn't seem to be particularly dry or painful, though very unsightly and makeup didn't do much to cover it. After researching, the closest I could compare it to was periocular/periorbital dermatitis. It got better when school finished (coincidentally, also the time I stopped wearing makeup and thus removing it as often) so I chalked it up to stress. It came back with a vengeance when I began work again and started wearing makeup, and it finally clicked when I realized it was more irritated for about an hour after removing makeup every night. Long story short, I switched back to the pink cap non-waterproof version and the reaction has almost totally disappeared in the span of a week. I'm not sure what ingredient it was that caused the reaction, but it seems many have had similar experiences.

I don't think it did the best job. I think that it helped for face makeup, not so much for anything on my eyes and it definitely doesn't get everything. I had gotten the smallest bottle and you go through it really quickly. I just recently bought the Universal Cleansing Balm from Derma-E and OMG that is what you need for removing makeup!

I decided to finally try this and purchased a small 3 oz at Ulta the other day. I use either Farmacy or Clinique cleansing balm to remover my sunscreen and makeup and thought this would be somewhat similar in removing products from my face. I was wrong. This would hardly remove anything and I had to tug with a cotton pad to get my makeup to slightly come off. I tried it on two occasions to make sure I gave it a fair shot. Sadly this isn't for me. Not to mention I paid double the price compared to my local grocery.

Was very surprised that I got a major reaction to this product. Face broke out was red and irritated was very painful and has taken about a week to clear up. I have never had a reaction to anything and don't have sensitive skin and no allergies. Was surprised to do a search and see many same stories as mine including burns.

I love this product! It does such a good job at taking off all my makeup even waterproof.
Prefer the non-waterproof one

I've been using the non-waterproof one in the pink bottle for awhile and decided to try the waterproof one since I do use waterproof mascara. I finally finished this blue bottle and am so excited to switch back to the pink one! This one was fine, but I did fee like it had an oily feeling to it and actually thought the non-waterproof one did better a lot removing my waterproof mascara!

Many people are saying that this doesn't get their eye makeup off as easily. But really you have to apply about a quarter amount on some sort of pad and press gently on the eye for about 15 seconds. It works like magic!
best makeup remover i've used
Mina from Concord, North Carolina
before switching to micellar water, i'd always used basic makeup wipes. not only are makeup wipes bad for the environment, but you have to use 3-5 to take off one full face of makeup. i'd constantly be out and it would be irritating. i use this one here with a cotton pad and then i do my normal skincare when i take my makeup off.

I have been wanting to purchase this but I was unsure about the product due to some people blowing up products because their popular not because they work or such. I recently went to Ulta and purchased a few items and was given a small thing of this as a free gift. I decided to give it a try. I wore makeup the night before and after I took it off I did a facemask. well since the facemask my face felt very oily and just not very clean. I used this stuff and oh my gosh.... when I say my face felt so refreshed and so clean and my skin felt so so so soft!!! I have sensitive skin and I didn't get any bad reaction to this. I'm definitely sold on this as I'm now going to purchase a big bottle of this. I definitely recommend this product!
LOVE THIS PRODUCT
Jaz from Ulta
Will definitely buy again. I normally use makeup wipes but those irritate my skin and turn it red. I just started using this product and I'm never going back! It doesn't irritate the skin and you get all your makeup off. Definetely recommend.
Vaseline works better for eye make up.

I didn't care for the smell of this. It also doesn't work well for eye makeup. It also doesn't work that well on foundation.
ONLY MAKEUP REMOVER I WILL EVER USE
Trinity-Rae from California
Makeup wipes have never worked for my skin when it comes to taking off makeup, they make my skin burn up and feel irritated. I have also tried the Neutrogena micellar water buy that was way to greasy and left a thick film on my skin. When I found this I was estastic it works great on my dry/sensitive skin. I takes off makeup amazingly I 100 percent recommend.
NOTE: to fully get all your makeup off use a cleaner w/ a facial brush to fully remove makeup from being on your skin. This will make sure nothing clogs your pores or anything like that.
Great makeup remover

This product is amazing. It helped remove my makeup nice and easy and not make my face dry or breakout. My go to makeup remover!!
tia._.e from New Jersey
This is very good it is better for your skin and removes all makeup but you just need to go over your face again just to make sure all the makeup is off.
decent but not worth the hype

i wanted SO badly to fall for this product, but it honestly cant beat a simple makeup wipe. it is pretty difficult to get mascara off in just a few swipes like people say, and i just feel like it isnt really removing much. i always ended up going over my lashes with a makeup wipe to make sure that i got everything off. it does its job if you use a lot, so its pretty mediocre for me. i havent used it on face makeup like foundation or concealer but im sure it does a good job removing that, but my main priority was removing mascara. it didn't burn my eyes and was gentle, so i still owe it 3 stars for that

As a makeup remover I actually wanted to like it. It removes eyeshadow and even my Urban Decay eyeliners with ease. It says you don't have to scrub your eyes to remove makeup, and that might be the case UNLESS you're wearing mascara. I do not use waterproof mascara as it is very hard to remove with even the most tried and true waterproof makeup removers. This product can't even remove regular mascara without a serious scrub. I have a deluxe sample and I use it when I can but my eyes are generally sore after two consecutive uses trying to scrub the mascara off. I'm amazed at how easily it removes everything else though. Layers of foundation, bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow and eyeliner come off with a quick swipe. Yet it leaves mascara intact?? I love how it's not nearly as oily as regular waterproof makeup remover as well, but I can't really call this a cleanser. I still have to wash my face after using this, however I can use cleansers that don't remove makeup well enough afterward and still come out clean. I would recommend this to anyone who does not use mascara; since I do use it I will pass on this one.
Better than makeup wipes!
B. Ashley from Las Vegas
I recently started using micellar water and reusable pads instead of wipes to decrease my household waste. I heard there were skin benefits to using this as well. I wear a lot of mascara, and this gets it off better than a wipe (and i used to use Neutrogena wipes). I highly recommend switching to this for makeup remover!
Macala from Missouri
This stuff is awesome. Gentle on my face. All of my makeup comes off and my face feels so refreshed afterwards. I would definitely recommend this to someone.

it removes makeup well and is not too oily
Makeup is easy to take off

This doesn't dry the skin. It is so quick to get rid of makeup which is great. It is gentle if you're worried about sensitive skin.

Finally decided to try this product, and I'm a little disappointed after all the hype. Does a fair job of removing makeup, but you need A LOT of it to do so, especially eye makeup... and the claim is that it removes even waterproof eye makeup. I go through about 6 cotton balls before all of my makeup has been semi removed. I use it before I wash my face, and STILL have raccoon eyes afterwards. I did, however, use it with a makeup removing cloth on my eyes, and it worked a lot better. Overall, so-so product.
Great Makeup Remover!

I have been using this for about a week and it's amazing! it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or dry afterwards. It removes my makeup so well! definitely recommend.
Miss Nick from VA
This is great for removing my makeup without over-stripping my face; however, it does take a few extra minutes to remove my waterproof makeup.
