Start by thoroughly brushing your teeth to prepare for the whitening treatment. Apply 0.25 ml of teeth whitening gel to each side of the mouth guard, then place the 28X LED light guard into your mouth and turn it on. Let the treatment work for 10 minutes. Afterward, remove the device, rinse your mouth, and enjoy a visibly brighter smile. If you experience any sensitivity, use the Enamel Strengthening Gel by first flossing and brushing your teeth. Twist and pull off the syringe cap, then apply a thin layer of the gel directly onto your teeth. Leave it on for 10 to 30 minutes, and rinse thoroughly to complete the soothing treatment.

I wanted this item because it included the whitening gel, desensitizing gel and the light. I have whitened in the past without the light and I can tell you that it definitely accelerates the whitening effect! I didn't use the desensitizing gel but I will next time because my teeth get sensitive on days when I've whitened back to back. I also have custom trays made by my dentist and used them with the light. I like that the light is programmed to stay on for 10 minutes and also beeps when it turns off so you can't miss when it's time to take it out. The tray that fits onto the light is "plasticy" and may cause you to gag (my custom trays are like this too so not deducting stars). I'm very happy with this kit because of the value of getting 3 products together.
