Starting with half a pump, dispense foundation onto the back of your hand or directly onto your tool of choice (Rare Beauty recommends the Liquid Touch Foundation Brush or Soft Touch Makeup Blending Sponge), then tap or sweep onto the face in even layers, building as desired.

I've been looking for a foundation that actually stays matte without looking like a mask, and this is it. It applies so smoothly (I use a damp sponge) and feels weightless. It survived an 8-hour workday and a humid evening without breaking up or getting greasy. Plus, the "8 Light Cool" shade is a perfect match for my undertones.

The rare beauty true to myself natural long wear foundation lives up to its name. I have maturing skin and recently been wrestling with a bout of rosacea with spots, and it's been embarrassing and hard to cover. Not only is the coverage on this buildable it blurs away imperfections but leaving a matte natural finish that really does look like my skin. It's still somehow gives a very healthy almost glow for a matte product and my skin does not look healthy right now. My skin is very bad shape right now. It does not feel cakey , did not crease and wears beautifully through a whole work day and Florida heat and humidity.

This foundation is great! Pros- a little goes a really long way. I found myself only needing one pump. - the bottle is literally perfect and gorgeous with a perfect little locking mechanism for ease of travel. - matte and waterproof - LONG LASTING! wore this out for several hours and it did not budge. cons- the pink and yellow undertones make this a no go for me. though it says it is a neutral, it is far warmer than that. - since I have aging skin, this tends to make the appearance of pores look larger and it settles into fine lines. - it may be a little too matte for me because I prefer a more natural look and this is giving 2016.

This foundation from Rare Beauty is really great. It goes on very smoothly and lasts all day. There isn't any cakiness. It's lightweight and has very good coverage. This is by far one of my new favorite foundations!
