Wanted to love but ruined my skin
I have struggled with hormonal acne for years now, but nothing besides some returning pimples that, looking back, were more of annoyance if anything. Having LOVED Mad Hippie's Vitamin C serum and recieving a sample of this Vitamin A serum within my package, I figured I'd give it a shot and see if this would be the miracle product the reviews claimed to be. Oh my, was I wrong. To be frank, I had experimented with the DHC cleansing oil a month prior which had given me horrible cystic pimples and a messed up barrier. I applied this serum every other night, alternating with The Ordinary Niacinamide serum on my "off" days. The first night I had a beautiful glow and my pimples seemed smaller. Every use after furthered a nightmare of my own design. My skin is so messed up even 4 months later; I cant use any actives (even my old products that never caused me ant issues) without my skin burning, becoming red and inflamed, or breaking out in terrible little whiteheads and even MORE cystic pimples on my jaw! The left side of my face is now covered in rough, bumpy skin that refuses to smooth over. I had high hopes for my first retinoid seeing as I had experince with AHA/BHAs, and that this formula was supposed to be gentle enough for people like me. So disappointing and I really miss the way my skin was before I used this serum. Buy at your own risk.

Could you describe the viscosity (thickness) of Super A Serum? The serum in the bottle that I purchased is so thick that the dropper is virtually ineffective.

To help with dispensing, we recommend slowly squeezing and slowly releasing the rubber top; these extra few seconds give the serum time to suction into the glass pipette. Hi! Ive been researching natural, holistic ingredients and products and my head is spinning. I have rosecea and use 2 prescriptions, one at night for the acne, the other in the morning for redness. I have also used other company products for wrinkles on my face, chest, and neck that have made little difference. Based on all the Q&A, if Mad Hippi is safe to use with rosecea, I would like to start using Super A Serum at night, and C serum in the morning. Also need a recommendation for a moisturizer. We always encourage those with specific skin conditions to patch test products to ensure that their skin tolerates the ingredients. What works for one person may not work for another. We use numerous oils and extracts in our line and encourage customers with specific skin sensitivities/conditions to review the ingredient list thoroughly to ensure that the products do not contain any ingredients that may cause sensitivities/flare-ups. We also recommend chatting with your dermatologist to get their insight and ensure they don't have any concerns. It's best to avoid the AHA Exfoliating Peel and Microdermabrasion Facial as alpha hydroxy acids can cause flare ups for those with rosacea. You could try the Vitamin C Toning Mist, Vitamin C Serum, and Face Cream and see if they work for you. I recommend patch-testing the Super A Serum if you opt to try it, as it is rather potent. In general, most aestheticians recommend not using vitamin A (retinoids/retinols) when waxing as it sloughs off dead skin cells and can make skin more sensitive when waxing (which also pulls off dead skin cells along with hair). If you are having it done professionally, you can always ask for recommendations on post care, but typically, gentle cleansers and moisturizers, and of course sunscreen, are advised for the first couple of days and treatment serums are usually resumed after the first 48 hours.
