Full Review: I have been a loyal MAC user for years, traditionally wearing the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (original formula) in the shade NC40. When MAC launched this new reformulation, their shade finder tool told me my new equivalent shade would be NC38. Unfortunately, NC38 was way too dark and orange. I then tried testing lighter shades (NC35 and NC30), but both were still completely wrong. Wanting to give this new liquid formula a fair chance, I decided to jump all the way down to NC25. When I first applied NC25, it actually looked like a perfect, close match. However, as the day went on, the formula oxidized heavily, turning quite orange and dark on my skin. It is a shame because the quality of the formula itself is actually excellent. It is lightweight, offers beautiful buildable coverage, dries fast, and has a great matte finish with added SPF. MAC is known for quality, but this new reformulation—across both the powder and the liquid—has made finding a shade match a nightmare. I highly recommend skipping the online shade finder and going directly into a MAC store to get matched by a professional in person. Does not feel sticky or cakey and leaves my skin fresh underneath once it's removed. The color matching was excellent and I would highly suggest this to anyone looking for a lightweight foundation.
