Such a Disappointment
Unfortunately, this may be the worst cream I have ever used. To start, the cream has a very odd smell. It instantly reminded me of Play-doh, which is neither natural nor nice smelling. The cream is also odd because it is hard to rub into the skin and leaves white streaks like sunscreens tend to do. ...

Will repurchase!!!
This has worked wonders for my skin. I have type 2 rosacea. Doesn't make me breakout or give me a reaction. I wish the size eas larger but it's ok. Love that it comes in a pump so the product stays fresh. Even tho it's lightweight it still keeps my skin hydrated.

I've been a diehard skin cueticals fan for at least 10 years. The products keep going up in price but I kept paying for them. I had seen this moisturizer around, on different blogs for a few years. It caught my eye because I suffer from rosacea which is under control with laser treatment and my skin care regimen. I was running out of my regular products that I use from SkinCeuticals and I was inside of Ulta and I just decided to give this a try. I thought if I didn't like it, I could return it (which I truly truly thought would happen because I've never been able to switch from SkinCeuticals to a lesser priced product and I've tried numerous times over the years)….. a few weeks went by and I've had no negative effects, if anything my skin looks great, it looks just as good as when i use my SC moisturizer. I actually prefer this one more because it's lighter. This led me to trying their hydrance boost serum, which I'm happy to report is amazing. I've had nothing but positive effects from these skin care products and I've been able to stop spending a small fortune on SkinCeuticals. I was also pleased to see someone else had left a review similar to mine about trying these products in place of SkinCeuticals, it made me feel more valid on how I felt. Truly, I recommend giving this line a chance, especially if you're used to very bougie skin care like i was.
Helped severe Type 1 and 2 Rosacea flare
I have ultra sensitive skin plus was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea and Type 2 Papulopustular Rosacea. This Avène Redness Expert product is one of the things that has actually helped. I have tried many similar products over the past two months. Others either made my condition worse, didn't absorb, and/or caused my medication to lift or pill. This product works well with my topical medication and took my face from an alarmingly (and very painful) bright red back to close to normal in a week's time.
Calms my rosacea

This gentle treatment helps calm my rosacea-prone skin. I use it in the morning before I put on my sunscreen. It's gentle and it has calmed my skin when I am having a rosacea flareup. It doesn't burn and melts into my skin, while also moisturizing it, but not leaving it greasy.

Avene Redness Expert - I'm usually tomato red in my cheeks for an hour after my shower; I took this 15 minutes after I got out. I'm still slightly red, but I've only used this consistently for about a week and have genuine noticed an improvement! I'll rebuy this when I'm out.
