There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. I love this curling iron! As long as you set the long on the lock once it's on there's no chance of changing the heat setting or turning it off.
Meh
I like that it is lightweight. I'm not a fan of the clip or how loose my curls come out from this curler. I don't reach for it, and prefer much tighter curls than this can perform for me. I think it may be great for thicker hair. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

wont hold a curl for me
I was so excited to get this and I wanted to love it it's beautiful curls at first but within an hour they're just flat and falling looks like I have straight hair after a couple hours and I tried the one and a half and the one and a quarter no difference sucks I have to take this back especially how expensive it is
