There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This curling iron is a must have for anyone who is styling long hair! I love the controls on this and tried it at multiple heat settings, so imagine my surprise when I had a fully formed curl that lasted all day on the lowest heat settings. You can curl with less damage with this curler! It's very light in the hand too, so even for me with a lot of long hair my hand didn't cramp up or get tired. The barrel size is smaller so you get a tighter curl, but you can loosen as you slide down for a larger curl too. I love the materials bio ionic uses- I bought the flat iron from this brand and it's lasted through many trips, so knowing this is the same material I'm confident I'll have this for years to come too. Less breakage over time means less trips to the salon! I used this product for the full amount of time we received to review (about 2 months I want to say) so my review would be as accurate as possible.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Bio Ionic 1.5" long barrel curling iron has been something I have been eyeing for a while. I have smaller curling irons and a straightener but I wanted to try out the 1.5" to make wavy hair. First off, the curling iron is beautiful, and comes with a long cord. The long barrel allows for longer hair to be curled or to easily curl the back of your head. It heats up quickly, has 5 different temperatures, and a temperature lock. I love that I can touch the end of the barrel without burning my fingers. This allows me to have more control over my styling. It makes nice curls, but my hair would not hold the curls very well. My hair did feel amazing and soft after using unlike my other curling irons.

I have no curling experience but i got such beautiful results. I love that the temperature can lock so you dont accidentally change it while curling your hair. I also like that the cord rotates so it wont get tangled and twisted while using. I will definitely continue using this curler!

Just got the Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron already obsessed the extra-long barrel makes such a difference with long hair, it wraps evenly in one pass and gives those big, bouncy "blowout" waves instead of tight ringlets. It heats up fast, it's light in the hand, the cord length is longer than the barrage curling iron and the digital buttons are easy, and the curls actually stay without feeling crunchy. Definitely feels more luxe than a standard curling iron.
