There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. This has been the worst curling iron I've ever owned. Barrel broke in half while using! only had this iron for a year.
DO NOT BUY THIS
It may last a year… tops. I have had two of these and the barrel has broken off on both of them. Do not waste your money. The curls were great when it worked, but these were not built to last.
BOMB AND EASY TO USE
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This curling iron is a game changer. Say goodbye to hair getting stuck in the clamp. The bio ionic creates smooth full, bouncy voluminous curls. The design is sleek. I'm very pleased with the 1.5 barrel and find it helps create big wonderful curls!!! 10/10, I trust this brand and the quality is pristine!
Worth the price
I finally replaced my 5+ year old cheap curling iron at the strong suggestion of my hair stylist. This iron glides through my hair effortlessly. It can hold a curl all day with it 100 degrees cooler than my last iron. Full disclosure: I'm 42 yo. I like quality things but not into replacing things due to trends. I waited for a sale and then used points on top of the sale price. Now that I know the damage my old curling iron was causing, I gladly would have paid full price.
