TLDR: Pros - made a significant difference in hair/scalp health and appearance, smells SO good, fair price for quality especially with discounts/deals Cons: Packaging is NOT good for travel and water gets in through the top of the bottle in the shower. The only thing keeping this rating from being ...five stars is the packaging for the shampoo and conditioner. When it ships to me it explodes in the box and when I try to travel with it, the bottles make a huge mess and I lose a lot of the product. I appreciate the effort to make the packaging sustainable but I wish it was equally as functional. I normally really dislike the super long reviews that tell someone's life story but I am so passionate about this brand that I just need to word dump about it somewhere. I hope it can help someone with a similar story decide to give these products a chance! I completely switched over to JVN products three months ago and the difference in my hair is astounding. I have fine hair but its always been decently thick. I moved by myself across the country last year, lost my grandmother, had terrible side effects from my birth control pill, and I began losing a lot more hair than I used to. This in part caused my hair confidence to plummet and with my greasy Italian scalp it was impossible to not feel stressed about how it looked every single day. Since switching to JVN, I've started my hair redemption journey and I'm feeling so much more confident now (I sound like an ad, JVN sponsor me!). I use the pre-wash scalp oil, embody shampoo, nurture conditioner (I live in an arid climate otherwise I'd use the embody conditioner), embody foam, and air dry cream or complete instant recovery serum on heat treat days. To put all of this product in my fine, thin hair and not feel weighed down and instantly greasy is a miracle (jk its SCIENCE). I will note, since I use the oil before each wash I do have to wash my hair twice (2 pumps the first time, 1 the second) but after my hair feels the cleanest its ever felt without feeling stripped. On the second wash the shampoo lathers incredibly well even with just the one pump. I've been on the same bottle for three months and haven't needed to buy a replacement yet! In order to get the full effects and benefits of this line it took a few weeks of using only these products to fully acclimate my hair/scalp to them. Even though these products are silicon free my hair feels so soft and is so much easier to detangle when I get out of the shower. Previously I had to dump so much leave in conditioner into my hair to detangle, now I don't need anything and can just run a comb through it. The products feel great to the touch and don't leave my hands or hair feeling greasy and sticky. If these continue to work for me the way they have worked during the past three months, I don't see myself changing products ever. My scalp is significantly less oily, I can go two/three days before needing a wash without using dry shampoo (even after sweating at the gym), I have so much more volume (especially with the foam), my hair feels stronger, thicker again, and it just smells so freaking good. The bottom line is I am so grateful I gave these products a shot and I genuinely hope you do to.
