Q&A

Showing 4 out of 4 Questions
Q
Is this a good face wash to use on acne prone skin?
Asked by McKinley
Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BE
Hello there! The Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser is often recommended for acne-prone skin due to its specific formulation. It contains ingredients that help to cleanse pores, remove excess oil, and reduce shine, which are all beneficial for managing acne. However, everyone's skin reacts differently, and what works well for one person might not work for another. If you have acne-prone skin, it's always best to consult with a dermatologist for personalized recommendations. They can assess your specific skin type and acne severity and suggest the most appropriate cleanser and skincare routine for your individual needs. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What La Roche Posay Moisturizer will pair well with this cleanser?
Asked by Tommy
Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BE
Hello there! If you're using the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for oily skin, a good moisturizer pairing is the Effaclar Mat Mattifying Moisturizer. This moisturizer provides oil-free hydration while controlling shine and minimizing the appearance of pores. However, for personalized advice, consult a dermatologist as they can assess your specific skin needs and recommend the most suitable products for you.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be used on NON oily skin types or willl it be too drying?
Asked by NaimaD.
Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BE
Hello there! While Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser is specifically formulated for oily skin, its suitability for other skin types depends on individual factors. For someone with normal to dry skin, it might be too drying for regular use. However, those with combination skin, where some areas are oily and others are dry, might find it suitable for targeted use on the oilier zones. For more personalized advice, consulting a dermatologist is always recommended. They can assess your specific skin type and concerns to determine if this cleanser, or a different product, is the right fit for you. You can also find more details about the cleanser on the La Roche-Posay website, including information on its ingredients and intended usage. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What is the difference between this one and the other purifying foaming get cleanser that comes with the refill? They both say for oily and both say gel cleansing but different price and bottle type
Asked by shi
Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BE
Hello there! Thanks for reaching out to us about our Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin. There is no difference between these products besides the packaging they come in. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. For products too small to accommodate the list, a separate ingredient list is available on the display unit in the store for your convenience. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. We hope this was helpful! Was this answer helpful to you

Good cleanser

I started using this cleanser after running out of my regular one, and so far it has not disappointed me. My skin feels clean, but not squeaky clean, after using the cleanser, although it takes me a while to foam it. It lathers well but doesn't foam a lot from my experience. If I have a pimple, this...

Had high hopes

i have very bad acne prone oily skin and have struggle with my skin for years. I have heard so much about this brand so I decided to try it out. After about a week of using this my skin is very irritated and extremely dry and painful on my upper cheeks. I was so hopeful.

I have combination but very sensitive, acne prone skin. I love the lather and how clean it makes my skin feel. It has a slight burn to it which I don't love, but I don't know if that's my sensitive skin or if I just need to get used to it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Wish i wouldve loved this product because i have heard so many good things but the smell was tooooo strong for me. A very heavy moth ball smell that would not allow me to even use the product.

I love this face wash! I bought it in the small size to start out with and fell in love with it. I have dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin so I needed an effective but gentle cleanser and this did just that. My skin does feel a little dry directly after using it but I follow up with the triple repair moisturizing cream (also from La Roche-Posay) and I love it! I would recommend this for sure!
