Good cleanser
I started using this cleanser after running out of my regular one, and so far it has not disappointed me. My skin feels clean, but not squeaky clean, after using the cleanser, although it takes me a while to foam it. It lathers well but doesn't foam a lot from my experience. If I have a pimple, this...

My entire face would peel overnight, every night
I used the old formula for years and years. Never had any problems and always made my skin feel soft and clean. However recently I began waking up with my entire face dry and peeling (think reptilian). I blamed the brutal east coast winter, my boyfriend, and my cat. And then last weekend we went away for and I forgot to pack my bottle. I woke up in the hotel with normal skin for the first time in months. Next night, it was even better. I thought it was either my cat or the wash. When we got back, I went another night of using just water and aggressively cuddled my cat. Woke up with normal skin. This was the one thing that has worked for me for years and it sucks that they changed the formula. I've been using sidr powder (tiktok rec from way back) until I find a replacement but honestly, since I don't wear makeup outside of lipgloss and occasional mascara/eyeliner, I struggle to see why I should use anything other than sidr powder. Especially when the formula might change one day and I am stuck blaming my cat again.
Caused an allergic reaction
This face wash caused me to have a mild allergic reaction. I have no known allergies, and I've done allergy panels. This face wash caused my face and throat to swell up. It also gave me very dry and flaky skin. Also, the smell is so bad and medicinal. I've been using La Roche Posay products for years and never experienced anything bad from any of their other products. Very disappointed.
Reformulated
I've loved this La Roche-Posay's cleanser for my skin as its single-handedly cleared up my acne but recently I've noticed a change in the formula which is a bummer because it has been the only cleanser that's worked for my combination skin type. I'm not sure if I'll be trying the reformulated Effeclar cleanser; I don't want to risk losing my progress as I've been reading that it's been causing people to breakout. :/
Good product, but….
This is definitely a goid product but it may not becgor everyone snd it's definitely mot for me. If you have sensitive skin or rosacea do not use. I really wish these face products would get away from laurel sulfates as their listed ingredients.
Smells awful
Maybe I just had a bad bottle, but it smells like the plastic is leeching into the face wash. I couldn't handle the harsh smell. Also caused me to breakout, which typically isn't the case with any other of their products I have used.
