- Q
Does this product exfoliate ?
- Asked by Kk
- Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BEHello there! At La Roche-Posay, our Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser effectively cleanses oily skin without the physical or chemical exfoliation found in some other cleansers. It focuses on gently removing excess oil, dirt, and impurities without harsh scrubbing or potentially irritating exfoliating ingredients. This makes it suitable for daily use, even on sensitive skin. If you're looking for a La Roche-Posay cleanser with exfoliating properties, we recommend exploring our Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser, which contains salicylic acid. Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
Can I use this cleanser everyday?
- Asked by Rose
- Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BEHello there! While Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser is designed for oily skin, whether you can use it every day depends on your individual skin's tolerance and needs. Some people with very oily skin find it beneficial to use daily, while others with more sensitive or combination skin might prefer to use it every other day or a few times a week. It’s always a good idea to start slowly and observe how your skin reacts. If you experience any dryness or irritation, reduce the frequency of use. If you’re unsure, consulting a dermatologist is always recommended. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific skin type and concerns. Was this answer helpful to you

Had high hopes
i have very bad acne prone oily skin and have struggle with my skin for years. I have heard so much about this brand so I decided to try it out. After about a week of using this my skin is very irritated and extremely dry and painful on my upper cheeks. I was so hopeful.

Scented/Fragrance
This is a scented cleanser so if you have sensitive skin, it's not the right cleanser for you! I was surprised bc all my other La Roche products do not have fragrance and work great on my skin.
Nice cleanser
My combination oily skin enjoys this cleanser. Foams nicely with light scent. It is a gentle cleanser so I go in with a clarifying lotion after.
Love this
works so well on my sensitive combination skin
I like it so far
I have combination but very sensitive, acne prone skin. I love the lather and how clean it makes my skin feel. It has a slight burn to it which I don't love, but I don't know if that's my sensitive skin or if I just need to get used to it.
i would not buy this
um didn't like the smell, it smelt like cow doodoo tbh
