I used it during my wash and go. I wanted to test it's capabilities so I didn't put in a leave-in conditioner or oil. It isolated my curls really well but my hair got dry after 6hrs or so. Personally I would use a conditioner for extra moisture. The great thing about this product is I didn't have to use oil to break the cast so it made the wash and go process much faster.

This product is great on my 4 a/b textured hair coils. I dampen my hair with water first to get maximum effects of the curl gel. Once I "palm it" and spread it I feel as if I use a lot of the product. I'm not over saturating my coils when I do this method but I make sure to coat my tendrils evenly. One of the best things I like about the product is that I can apply it, go to bed in a hair protector and then mist my hair the next day and reactivate the product so that my curls pop!

I was a little skeptical of this gel because it felt more like a curl cream coming out of the bottle, but I was really pleasantly surprised by the hold. It did a great job reducing frizz and keeping my curls defined. It doesn't create a cast and there is no crunch, but it still kept my curls looking really great and managed well.
