My New Favorite Gel

As someone who is always trying to perfect my curly/wavy hair routine, I was super excited to try this. I haven't found a gel that worked perfectly for me yet, so I didn't know what to expect. I know Olaplex has a lot of great products that people love, but I have never used any of their products. T...his is my first time using a product from this brand, and I fell in love with it. I have heard glowing reviews about Olaplex, especially from my sister, but I never reached for them. I am glad that Olaplex came out with this gel because as someone who never used their products before, I am definitely going to see what else they have that might catch my eye. I don't think I have ever fallen in love with a product so fast, but even after consistently using it, I still love it. Anything you could be looking for in a gel, this one has. This gel, however, is something that I constantly reach for in my hair routine. I have wavy/curly hair (really depends on the day) and I have been on the hunt for a gel to finish off my hair routine. When applying the gel, it is a little sticky (the perfect amount for a gel)! The formula feels nice and it is super easy to work through my hair! It doesn't get stuck in strands of hair and is easy to work with. There is a light scent to this, which is perfect because it just emphasizes the scent of your shampoo/conditioner and other products. This gel also made my hair look healthier than it usually does and added lots of shine. I have tried some gels in the past that are too sticky and hard to incorporate throughout my hair, so I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the Olaplex gel was to use. I have let my hair both air dry and diffused it while using this gel, and both had great results! When I use this gel, I do section my hair and apply a little amount to both sides and then scrunch. I repeat for the remaining sections and give it a final scrunch and it dries beautifully either by diffusing or just letting it air dry. This gel could give a gel cast, but that has only happened to me once, and I just lightly scrunch the cast out, and it works wonderfully for me! Another great aspect about this gel is that my waves/curls a couple of days later still look good! My waves/curls tend to lose some shape and frizz, even after one day, so I was amazed that the next day my hair still looked good. There was more definition in the waves and curls in my hair than there usually is, and I absolutely loved it. When I use this gel, my curls/waves are bouncier and shinier. My hair feels hydrated and nourished while using this product. I've had a history with some gels drying out my hair, so I am glad the opposite happened with this gel. Sometimes when I use gels, it makes my hair super knotted the next day, but that never happens with this gel! I love how easy it was to implement this gel into my hair care routine. Ever since I got it, I have been using it every hair wash day while styling my hair. I have noticed that I have gotten more compliments on my curls and waves whenever I have this product in my hair. I love how lightweight this product is and that it doesn't weigh my curls/waves down. I know it says 72-hour frizz control, and that was correct. While using this gel, I noticed a significant decrease in frizz. My hair has a tendency to frizz very easily, especially during the summer time, so this product has been great to have. The frizz control this product provides is one reason why I reach for it when I need a gel. I also love that this gel is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and sulfate-free. I love how much product comes in the bottle and how easy it is to use in a squeeze bottle compared to a container! When you use this product, you only need a little amount of gel for each section of hair, so the product should last. This gel impressed me because I had no expectations about what it would be like, and it has been everything I needed and more. I definitely recommend the OLAPLEX Nº.10 Bond Shaper™ Curl Defining Gel with my whole chest. This product has been a game-changer for me and the perfect addition to my hair routine.
