Oak Essentials Cleansing Balm is a velvety-soft, balm-to-oil cleanser with Avocado and Juniper Oil, which gently dissolve makeup and impurities while helping to replenish the lipid layer and reinforce skin’s natural moisture barrier.

- Organic Sesame Oil: Packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids, it helps balance the skin’s PH and gently removes oil, dirt, and pollutants, leaving skin soft and moisturized.
Formulated Without
- Made simply and without compromise, their skincare formulas are non-GMO and organic whenever possible, and always formulated without silicones, colorants, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, PEGs, petrolatum, mineral oil, and nanoparticles.
Use AM and PM daily. Warm a dime-size amount in your hands until it melts into oil. Apply to dry skin and massage in circular motions. Wet fingertips and continue to massage, then remove with a warm, damp washcloth or cotton round. Follow with Balancing Mist and Moisture Rich Balm.
TIP: Focus on areas that need additional cleansing, like the eye area, to remove makeup.

I'm new to the products and have fell in love with this one. I love how it makes my skin feel and glow and in combination with the balancing mist and moisture balm my skin actually feels nourished. I workout everyday and feel like I need a 2x wash about every other day. I also have naturally combination skin and this does not make me oily. I start with a milky face wash when I 2x cleanse - follow with the balm, use a warm hand towel to remove (warm is definitely a must) and then follow with mist, moisturizer balm, and spf! I've recently been getting into using cleansing balms and double cleansing, and this balm is the absolute!! I've tried a cleansing balm from a different high end skincare brand and Oak Essential cleansing balm is honestly way better. First off, Oak Essential cleansing balm has way cleaner ingredients and is so silky on the skin. Secondly, it's actually cheaper, and yet higher quality and more environmentally kind. It also smells AMAZING and is definitely one you can take your time enjoying with all the senses. It's so gentle and really does remove all impurities and nasties. I use it with the Milk Cleanser and the two are chef's kiss! Highly highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Crisco
This is suuuch a thick, greasy product. I imagine the same feeling rubbing Crisco on my face. It does melt makeup, is is gentle and soothing, but leaving behind this thick layer of grease is not what I want from a cleansing balm. It leaves my skin feeling and looking amazing, but there's no chance any serums or actives would penetrate this. This would be better as a slugging step at the end of your routine. I used a handful of times and trashed it since I has received it free product as a diamond member.
