I have been using 2 parts light brown to 1 part copper to achieve the natural red brown/Auburn shade that matches my natural. Would the Auburn shade be a good alternative to always having to custom mix? I don't want that burgundy or Crayola red tone, more chestnut brown. Thanks in advance!

Here's the deal. I actually really like how this coppery tone shows up on my hair, at least the portion that's lightened. I've had highlights in the past so the copper really pops on the ends of my hair. However, where my dark brown root has grown out, this product doesn't do much to cover it, and it especially doesn't cling to the five or so gray hairs I can see. I like it enough to use as a touch-up between salon visits so I would purchase it again, but I don't think the vibrancy lasts as long as the product claims. [I realize that this item isn't advertised to cover gray or to work well with dark brown hair, but as someone whose root has grown out, I figured my experience might be relevant to someone else. Would recommend for medium to light hair with the caveat that it's not super long lasting… it is vibrant upon initial application though]

I never leave reviews but I felt inclined to leave one here bc I could cry tears of happiness. I left my hair salon before Christmas with 2 brassy streaks around my face and couldn't go back for them to fix as they're closed until the new year. I tried a few other products from different brands and nothing was helping ease the intensity of the brassy streaks...as a last ditch effort, I bought this product, applied it just on those brassy pieces after having shampooed in the shower, let it sit for the full 20 minutes, rinsed it out and then blow-dried and the brass is literally gone. I'm so happy I tried this. Look at the difference!!
It actually works!

I didn't see results by only leaving it in for 5 minutes but when I towel dried hair first and left it in for a full 20 minutes my hair took on a golden cast!
It was ok.
I bought this during an Ulta sale, tried it many different ways, and it didn't really deposit color that well. Sometimes it had very splotchy areas where it would be really pigmented and then wouldn't really be.
