Apply a pea-size amount on the eyelid using the doe foot applicator. Then, blend using a clean finger tip or a flat shadow brush from lash line up to the brow bone. Allow for Shadow Insurance Primer to dry, then blend shadow effortlessly on top.
Tip: To help eliminate smudging on the lower lash line apply a small amount of Shadow Insurance Primer using a clean fingertip or a flat shadow brush. Follow with eye shadow, eye liners, and mascara, if desired.

So disappointed in new packaging - and new formula??
Had to come back and leave a review (which is rare for me TBH) and it's nice (and yet sad) to see I'm not the only one who dislikes the new packaging w/ wand. It's terrible. the wand/brush is useless, it doesn't apply well at all that way, and if you apply it like the directions say, you are wiping ...

This primer was my holy grail, I probably purchased over 10 tubes in my time using it. I tried the doe foot applicator version once and have never repurchased. Leaving a comment now because I periodically check to see if it has been changed back, and am always disappointed! The squeeze component was more slim lined, you had more control on the amount that you used, and it lasted longer. Not to mention the new tube just falls apart... I have still, after years, not found a product that I liked better than this in the squeezy tube. Such a disappointment.
Dear Too Faced: Please change back to the previous formula
I woud die on the hill that was the old Shadow Insurance that came in the squeeze tube but this formula with the applicator, is not the same as all. The applicator does not make go on as smooth and evenly. Even if I put it on my fingers and dot it on like I did before, something about the product formula is different too. It is dry and cakey. Disappointing change for sure.
Don't Buy!
NYX glitter Primer beats Too Faced and is less than a third of the price. This is the second time I've been taken by Too Faced. Their bronzer for dark skin was insulting. Now their primer is bad. I'm done.
For all our sake, BRING BACK TUBE
I love this primer endlessly- its the longest wear and smoothest eye primer I've used and not gummy or flakey like others I've tried. I went around to experiment with others lower in price but nothing compared to this quality, so I came back. I was shocked to see the wand applicator but shrugged it off and purchased although I had a bad feeling. I HATE how dry it is and spending almost $30 to likely throw 1/4 of the product away after not being able to get out is disappointing. I will be experimenting some more!
Good alternative
So I have been a loyal UD customer for over 20 years. Apparently, they have recently changed their formula on my beloved eye shadow primer. So I tried this and it's great! Stood up to my very long day at work and into the night.
