Apply a pea-size amount on the eyelid using the doe foot applicator. Then, blend using a clean finger tip or a flat shadow brush from lash line up to the brow bone. Allow for Shadow Insurance Primer to dry, then blend shadow effortlessly on top.
Tip: To help eliminate smudging on the lower lash line apply a small amount of Shadow Insurance Primer using a clean fingertip or a flat shadow brush. Follow with eye shadow, eye liners, and mascara, if desired.

So disappointed in new packaging - and new formula??
Had to come back and leave a review (which is rare for me TBH) and it's nice (and yet sad) to see I'm not the only one who dislikes the new packaging w/ wand. It's terrible. the wand/brush is useless, it doesn't apply well at all that way, and if you apply it like the directions say, you are wiping ...

Not the same, it smudges
I bought this recently, after taking a break from eyeshadow. Previously I only used Too faced eye primer so, I went back to this brand. I wanted to do some of the same things I used to do with my eyeshadow-smokey eye. Even after rereading the directions, I can't make it work. Waste of money. My black eye shadow becomes uneven and it smudges upward. My eyes actually look worse, using this primer. I'm disappointed because this primer used To be effortless. Years ago, I learned how to use eye shadow with this brand's primer. Now, it's like the primer doesn't set or dry down. I keep trying to use different amounts but i can't make it work. It shouldn't be this hard to use.
Bring back old formula and packaging
The new formula doesnt work nearly as well and irritates my skin. The packaging is also terrible and has already cracked.

I've repurchased this primer because the formula is genuinely excellent — it keeps my eyeshadow locked in place all day, whether I'm dealing with normal wear or extreme heat/humidity. No creasing, no fading, no fallout. On performance alone, this is a 5-star product. But the new packaging has been a real letdown. This is my second purchase, and both times the lid has cracked and broken — even with careful opening, closing, and application. I really miss the old squeeze tube; it was sturdy and never gave me issues. I want to keep buying this, but the packaging failures are making me reconsider. Please bring back the squeeze tube, or fix the lid design — the formula deserves better packaging.
horrible packaging
the formula of this is great last all day and into the night. doesn't white out your eyes like some other formulas do but this packaging with a doe foot and no way to press out the product and having to bang it to get it out is absolutely horrible.

This primer was my holy grail, I probably purchased over 10 tubes in my time using it. I tried the doe foot applicator version once and have never repurchased. Leaving a comment now because I periodically check to see if it has been changed back, and am always disappointed! The squeeze component was more slim lined, you had more control on the amount that you used, and it lasted longer. Not to mention the new tube just falls apart... I have still, after years, not found a product that I liked better than this in the squeezy tube. Such a disappointment.
