Apply a pea-size amount on the eyelid using the doe foot applicator. Then, blend using a clean finger tip or a flat shadow brush from lash line up to the brow bone. Allow for Shadow Insurance Primer to dry, then blend shadow effortlessly on top.
Tip: To help eliminate smudging on the lower lash line apply a small amount of Shadow Insurance Primer using a clean fingertip or a flat shadow brush. Follow with eye shadow, eye liners, and mascara, if desired.

So disappointed in new packaging - and new formula??
Had to come back and leave a review (which is rare for me TBH) and it's nice (and yet sad) to see I'm not the only one who dislikes the new packaging w/ wand. It's terrible. the wand/brush is useless, it doesn't apply well at all that way, and if you apply it like the directions say, you are wiping ...

For all our sake, BRING BACK TUBE
I love this primer endlessly- its the longest wear and smoothest eye primer I've used and not gummy or flakey like others I've tried. I went around to experiment with others lower in price but nothing compared to this quality, so I came back. I was shocked to see the wand applicator but shrugged it off and purchased although I had a bad feeling. I HATE how dry it is and spending almost $30 to likely throw 1/4 of the product away after not being able to get out is disappointing. I will be experimenting some more!
Good alternative
So I have been a loyal UD customer for over 20 years. Apparently, they have recently changed their formula on my beloved eye shadow primer. So I tried this and it's great! Stood up to my very long day at work and into the night.
lasts all day
after a 10-12hr shift, my eye makeup still looks like I just applied it. this stuff is amazing. I have naturally oily eyelids. other products cant fight the oil so I end up with raccoon eyes. this primer holds up. im so glad I found it. I've been using it for 2 years.

very strong smell & irritating over multiple uses
it works alright, but the scent is so strong. I can smell it on & off all day. using it more than once a week causes irritation.
