- Q
I've seen kitch in reviews isn't good for color treated hair, people have said its removed their color. Is it color safe or not
- Asked by Jlee
- Official Answer By KITSCH - Brand EngageOur Rice Water Protein Hair Shampoo Bar is safe for color-treated hair. However, some users with very sensitive or porous hair may notice color fading more quickly, especially if they are using a lot of product or washing frequently. We recommend doing a patch test to see how it works with your hair. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this rice water shampoo product safe for colored hair?
- Asked by Doglover
- Official Answer By KITSCH - Brand EngageIf you have porous, protein-sensitive, or chemically treated hair (such as colored hair), you might want to limit the use of Rice Water Shampoo and Conditioner. In such cases, the hair is more porous and prone to protein overload, which could make your hair feel brittle, dry, or heavy. For daily care, you might consider trying our Castor Oil Shampoo and Coconut Oil Conditioner, which are formulated to be gentle and nourishing. Was this answer helpful to you

- Asked by Michelle
- Official Answer By KITSCH - Brand EngageThe potential for protein overload from the Rice Water Protein Shampoo Bar depends on your hair type, its condition, and how often you use it. Dried out my scalp- but Kitsch's customer service is incredi
(Addendum to original review.). So- this shampoo bar did not help whatever weird condition is afflicting my scalp. However- I am giving this bar five stars, because Kitsch, as a company, is providing a level of incredible customer service that has become increasingly rare. All I can say is I now kno...

Beware of the rice protein bar - a lovely honeymoon followed
I first purchased the rice water bar for hair growth after having suffered from chronic hairloss over several years, pre and post menopause. I lost around 25%-30% of my hair and had become quite depressed about it. My scalp was also itchy and greasy at the same time. This was at its worst in the eve...

Definitely will continue using it
Hair Type Wavy Hair
My daughter and I both tried it & we really like it. My hair is short, wavy & gray & it makes it feel so much softer & is so easy to use. My daughter has long curly hair & it helps control the frizzies & it feels softer & doesn't make it snarly.
JUST A NOTICE WHEN USING
Hair Type Straight Hair
This is a hair protein bar! While it is beneficial to use, do not use it all the time or as your only shampoo. There is a such thing as a protein overload in your hair that will make it dry and brittle! I would use it maybe once a week or at least add a moisturizing shampoo to use more than the rice bar!

Hair Type Straight Hair
Makes my hair feel softer with having well water.
I would buy this product again
Hair Type Straight Hair
Just started using it due to hair loss hoping it works
Bad news
Hair Type Wavy Hair
Kitsch cheap bar of soap dried my hair out like straw. The women at the company have horrible hair quality except the founder who doesn't use the products. Save your money.
